About Orchard Medicare Clinic Tanglin Shopping Centre
Orchard Medicare Clinic Tanglin Shopping Centre is a general practice clinic located at Tanglin Mall, serving patients across Singapore. KakiList has verified its operating details and contact channel. With 12 Google reviews and a rating of 4.3 out of 5, the sample is small and should be treated as directional only. For a first visit to a GP clinic, the typical process is straightforward: call ahead to check queue times or appointment availability, bring your NRIC or passport, and inform the front desk of any current medications or chronic conditions. If you are a Singapore Citizen or PR managing a condition covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme — such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia — ask the clinic whether it participates in CDMP, as this unlocks MediSave 500 outpatient withdrawals for eligible consultations. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should check whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel for cashless claims, though most GP visits are paid at point of service and reimbursed later.
To get started, call the clinic directly on the listed phone number to confirm current opening hours, queue status, and whether walk-in appointments are accepted on the day of your visit.

Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Good "medical centre" (though there is only two doctors there). Doctor Ng Chi Kui is nice, speaks fluently English and French (as I've witnessed) and doesn't over prescribe. Try to book an appointment with him, as he is usually busy!
Dont Bother! Rang to make appointment for 12.45pm but nurse says doctor has lunch appointment and insist that I make the 12.30 if not dont bother to make it. Website states 1pm closes. Rude receptionist and no sympathy for urgent cases as doctor only cares about his lunch appointment.
Dr Ng is an excellent GP. Experienced, thorough, logical, sympathetic and he explains his thinking clearly. He is also a kind and civilised man.
Great service, patient receptionist and doctor. Will definitely be back when I need to their services. 😊
Awesome service and nurse was absolutely polite! Will definitely come back again!!

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up reviews at the lower end of that band. Common add-ons billed separately include prescribed medications, diagnostic tests such as blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, and swabs, as well as medical certificates. GST applies on private medical services. If you are on the Chronic Disease Management Programme, MediSave can offset up to S$500 per year for eligible outpatient consultations and investigations. Confirm the clinic's fee schedule and MediSave participation directly before your visit, as fees are not publicly listed. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor is registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licence details are currently listed for this provider on KakiList. Before booking, visit the MOH licensee directory to confirm the clinic premises licence and search the SMC register for the consulting doctor's name. Both checks take under five minutes and are the baseline for any private medical provider in Singapore.
For GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$500 per year (or S$700 for eligible cases). Most routine GP consultations are paid at point of service in cash, NETS, or card, and reimbursed through your Integrated Shield Plan insurer if the clinic is on their panel. For any planned procedure or referral arising from a GP consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate that separates the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. If the GP refers you onward to a specialist, a referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic can significantly reduce the consultation cost for Singapore Citizens — from S$120–250 at a private specialist to S$30–80 at a subsidised SOC, though waiting times of 4–12 weeks apply.
