About Our Family Clinic Surgery
Our Family Clinic Surgery is a general practice clinic located at 8 Jalan Batu, #01-15 Block 8, Singapore 431008, serving patients across the island. The clinic holds a 4.6 out of 5 rating across 22 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licence information has been provided in the listing, and the clinic is not confirmed as ACRA-registered, so prospective patients are advised to verify credentials directly before booking.
For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to arrange a consultation for a presenting condition — whether a common illness, minor injury, or routine prescription renewal. The clinic's general practice scope would normally cover acute and chronic disease management, including conditions under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia, where MediSave withdrawal under the 500/700 outpatient limits may apply. For specialist referral, the clinic may issue a letter directing patients to a polyclinic or restructured hospital outpatient clinic for subsidised access, or to a private specialist at S$120–250 for a first consultation. Patients with Integrated Shield Plans should check pre-authorisation requirements before any planned investigation or procedure.
To arrange a consultation, contact Our Family Clinic Surgery directly by phone or via the enquiry form on the listing to confirm opening hours, same-day slot availability, and accepted payment methods before attending.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Adeline listens and doesnt rush through her consults. She ensures to get a clear history and also understands what my worry for my son may be. Counter staff are all nice and patient too. Thank you.
Dr Lim is very patient, knowledgeable and helpful. He listens patiently, explains your diagnosis well and also addresses any concerns you may have. The patient cue management system with whatsapp updates is also great so you can plan your visit well. 5 star for the doctor but the clinic itself is 3 star - very old & poorly maintained. Wish they'd renovate soon.
I am grateful to Dr Lim for serving the residents and community for the past years. Dr Lim is professional in his approach in treating his patients and will put in the time to explain details of the patient's medical condition. Time flies and I realize that I have met Dr Lim more than two decades ago. However, nothing has changed in his care and dedication towards his patients. I will like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Lim for his steadfastness in his commitment towards ensuring the well-being of his patients. Thank you, Dr Lim! Take care and stay safe! I will also like to thank the clinic assistant who has been facilitating the online queue system and ensuring that patients are served in a timely manner. Thank you and stay safe!
Excellent doctor. Dr Lim is able to detect abnormalities (lung cancer) in my father's lungs with just a Stethoscope during a consultation on a common cough. With his advice and recommendations, we investigated further. Two years have passed, my dad is still managing his condition because of early detection. Thank you. Thumbs up!
One of the best doctors in Singapore - my family and I have always gone to him - gives you only what you need, kind and patient

GP consultations at private and CHAS-participating clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit, with additional charges for investigations (blood panel S$60–200, X-ray S$80–150), prescriptions, and follow-up reviews. GST applies on private medical services. Our Family Clinic Surgery's listing does not specify exact consultation fees, so contact the clinic directly for current pricing. If the clinic participates in the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS), Singapore Citizens holding a CHAS Blue, Orange, or Pioneer/Merdeka card may be entitled to subsidised GP and selected chronic disease management visits. Confirm CHAS participation directly with the clinic. For any planned procedure, request a written cost estimate that separates insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. No licence information has been provided in this listing, so patients should confirm the clinic's licence status and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration at smc.gov.sg before booking — search by the doctor's name to check registration status, specialisation, and any disciplinary history. For a GP setting, SMC registration as a general practitioner is the minimum requirement. If the clinic has a named family physician with a graduate fellowship in Family Medicine (GDFM or FRACGP), that is an additional credential worth confirming. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's SMC entry should be taken on trust — both are publicly verifiable and the check takes under two minutes. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient chronic disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits (S$500/year general outpatient, S$700/year for CDMP-listed conditions). Acute GP visits for non-chronic conditions are generally not MediSave-claimable on an outpatient basis. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient admissions and day surgery. Standard GP consultations at a clinic are usually paid out of pocket unless the plan includes a rider with outpatient benefits — check your IP schedule of benefits before assuming coverage. If a referral for a specialist procedure follows, pre-authorise with your insurer and request a Letter of Guarantee before any planned admission to avoid post-procedure claim disputes. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic — a written itemised estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions should be provided before you proceed.
