About Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home
Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home is an eldercare provider located at 19 Toh Drive, Singapore 507871, serving residents islandwide. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. Google reviews stand at 4/5 across 10 ratings — a small sample that should be treated as directional only. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level ($$), though specific package rates were not available at time of listing.
Families considering placement or care support should begin with a care assessment covering the elder's mobility, medical diagnoses, continence, cognitive status, and any specialist needs such as dementia or post-stroke rehabilitation. From there, the key decision is whether visit-based care or residential placement is more appropriate, and how many hours of support are required each day. It is worth clarifying which services fall within the stated fee and which are billed separately — for instance, physiotherapy, incontinence supplies, and wound-care consumables are often additional. Confirm whether a trial period is available, and involve all relevant family decision-makers before committing to any arrangement.
To take the next step, contact Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home directly by phone to arrange a care assessment and discuss current availability, fee structure, and any subsidies or financial assistance that may apply through AIC or MOH-affiliated schemes.
Insist on a trial period where possible and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
Patrick, Rafiah and their team of caregivers serve the residents with a heart. At all times, they ensure that they are well-fed and comfortable. Patrick, the boss, is often seen hand-feeding the residents. Rafiah, a very experienced head nurse, ensures that the residents are well-taken care of. My mum was there for more than a year, and we are very appreciative of the team's care for her.
To all potential nursing home seekers don't bother with this home. A nursing home that does not entertain any questions when asked, being evasive and almost to a point of being rude and finally abruptly ended the call. For clarification, only standard questions like how many staff, beds, costs, consumables cost....etc were asked but..when it came to costs, (Patrick Tan - owner?) did not like being asked and ended the call abruptly. On top of this he also said he does not accept anyone that is mobile. Nowhere on the website does it state this fact and the pictures shows quite a number of elderly exercising and they are mobile!. Ask yourself this; after such a call, will you send your loved one there when you are seeking potential future admission and get treated in this manner by the owner? Attitude and manners conveyed in the phone conversation spoke volumes. I have rung over 10 homes and none of them 'behaved' and 'acted' in such poor manner. You are struck off the list. (Have to give one star unfortunately to post this)
Services could definitely be improved, but the staff are trying their best with the resources they have available. Overall, not a bad option if you are looking for elderly care in the area.
Staff are very patient and provide a lot of information regarding the nursing home.
Quiet environment. They need to keep up with the queries and feedbacks they receive.

Specific package pricing was not available at time of listing, and Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home should be contacted directly for a current fee schedule. As a general guide, nursing home residential fees in Singapore range from around S$1,200 to S$4,500 per month depending on ward type (single, twin-bed, or multi-bed), level of nursing care, and the resident's citizenship status. Common additional charges to clarify include physiotherapy and occupational therapy sessions, incontinence and wound-care supplies, transport to outpatient appointments, and public holiday surcharges for visit-based care. Medifund and AIC means-tested subsidies can significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents — confirm eligibility with the home's social worker. Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home operates from a fixed address at 19 Toh Drive, which indicates a residential nursing home model rather than a visit-based home care service. In a residential setting, the elder lives on-site and receives 24-hour nursing coverage, personal care, meals, and therapy within the facility. Families should clarify the scope of care included — distinguish between basic personal care (bathing, feeding, toileting) and clinical nursing (wound care, medication administration, catheter management), as not all nursing homes offer the same clinical depth. Ask specifically about dementia care capacity, bedridden care protocols, and the ratio of nursing staff to residents, particularly on night shifts. A trial period is not always available in residential placements, but a pre-admission visit and a face-to-face assessment with the care team are standard — request these before signing the admission agreement.
Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home has not listed specific regulatory licences on this profile. Nursing homes in Singapore are regulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and must hold an MOH licence to operate — families should verify this directly with the home or on the MOH licensed healthcare institutions register before proceeding. Registered nurses on staff must hold valid licences from the Singapore Nursing Board. Allied health staff such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists should be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC). Ask the home whether staff hold any specialist dementia-care certifications, such as those from IMDA-accredited programmes, if this is relevant to your family member's condition. Insurance coverage for resident incidents and staff injury should be confirmed with the management team, along with the process for handling medical emergencies and unplanned hospitalisations.
