About Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home
Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home is a nursing home providing eldercare services in Singapore, located at 19 Toh Drive. The listing has been verified by KakiList and is ACRA-registered. It holds a Google rating of 4/5, though this is based on only 10 reviews and should be treated as directional only. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level, though specific package rates are not publicly listed.
Families typically begin by conducting a care needs assessment to establish the level of support required — covering mobility, medical conditions, continence, and cognitive status. It is worth confirming what nursing and personal care services are available on-site, whether the home can accommodate residents with dementia or complex medical needs, and what the staffing ratio looks like across day and night shifts. Families should also clarify the monthly fee structure, including whether physiotherapy, occupational therapy, incontinence supplies, or specialist consultations are bundled or billed separately. Multiple family decision-makers are often involved in this process, and an in-person visit to meet the care team and see the living environment is strongly recommended before committing.
To take the next step, contact Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home by phone or through their enquiry form to arrange a care assessment and facility visit — bring any existing medical reports and a summary of your loved one's daily care needs.
Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
Patrick, Rafiah and their team of caregivers serve the residents with a heart. At all times, they ensure that they are well-fed and comfortable. Patrick, the boss, is often seen hand-feeding the residents. Rafiah, a very experienced head nurse, ensures that the residents are well-taken care of. My mum was there for more than a year, and we are very appreciative of the team's care for her.
To all potential nursing home seekers don't bother with this home. A nursing home that does not entertain any questions when asked, being evasive and almost to a point of being rude and finally abruptly ended the call. For clarification, only standard questions like how many staff, beds, costs, consumables cost....etc were asked but..when it came to costs, (Patrick Tan - owner?) did not like being asked and ended the call abruptly. On top of this he also said he does not accept anyone that is mobile. Nowhere on the website does it state this fact and the pictures shows quite a number of elderly exercising and they are mobile!. Ask yourself this; after such a call, will you send your loved one there when you are seeking potential future admission and get treated in this manner by the owner? Attitude and manners conveyed in the phone conversation spoke volumes. I have rung over 10 homes and none of them 'behaved' and 'acted' in such poor manner. You are struck off the list. (Have to give one star unfortunately to post this)
Services could definitely be improved, but the staff are trying their best with the resources they have available. Overall, not a bad option if you are looking for elderly care in the area.
Staff are very patient and provide a lot of information regarding the nursing home.
Quiet environment. They need to keep up with the queries and feedbacks they receive.

Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home does not publish a specific fee schedule publicly. Nursing home fees in Singapore typically range from around S$1,500 to S$4,500 per month, depending on the ward type (single, twin-bedded, or multi-bedded), level of nursing care required, and whether the resident is a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or foreigner. Agency fees are not applicable in a nursing home setting — the monthly fee covers residential care directly. Families should clarify what is included in the base monthly fee versus what is billed additionally — common extras include physiotherapy, specialist outpatient visits, incontinence products, and transport to medical appointments. GST may apply depending on the provider's structure. Contact Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home directly for a current fee schedule. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
As a nursing home, Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home provides full residential (live-in) care rather than visit-based or home care services. Residents live on-site and receive round-the-clock nursing supervision, personal care assistance, and medical monitoring as part of their placement. Families should confirm the scope of nursing care available — including whether the home can manage residents with feeding tubes, wound care needs, or dementia — and what the staffing ratio is across different shifts. Some nursing homes offer a short-term respite stay as a trial placement before committing to permanent residency; it is worth asking whether this option is available. A replacement or transfer process should also be understood in case the resident's needs change over time.
Nursing homes in Singapore are regulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and are required to employ registered nurses and healthcare assistants who meet MOH training standards. However, Our Lady of Lourdes Nursing Home does not currently list any regulatory licences on this directory — families should confirm MOH registration directly with the home before proceeding. Ask specifically about the qualifications of the nursing staff on each shift, whether dementia care training or wound care certifications are held by relevant team members, and what the protocol is if a resident requires emergency medical attention. Insurance coverage for clinical incidents is typically held at the institutional level; confirm the scope of this with the home's administration team.
