About Retire Genie

About Retire Genie

Retire Genie is an eldercare provider offering elderly caregiver services islandwide from its office at Asia Square Tower 1, Marina Bay. The listing has been verified by KakiList and is ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.9-star Google rating across 19 reviews, though the sample size is small and should be treated as directional only. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$); specific hourly or package rates were not available at time of listing.

Families typically begin by conducting a care assessment to establish the elder's mobility level, medical conditions, and daily support requirements. This informs whether visit-based care or a more intensive arrangement is appropriate, and helps determine the scope of tasks — personal hygiene, medication reminders, meal preparation, or companionship. It is worth establishing early which family members are the primary decision-makers, as care arrangements often require coordinated input. A trial period is advisable before committing to a longer engagement, and all rates, hours, and care responsibilities should be set out in writing.

To get started, contact Retire Genie directly by phone or via the enquiry form to outline the elder's care needs and request a care assessment and written quote.

We hired Sandar and Sumon as temporary caregivers for my mother, as she had sustained complex fractures in her right leg after a car accident. Both ladies were very experienced and intelligent, able to help my mother transition between her bed, wheelchair and the bathroom, assist in showering and other tasks. They were punctual and highly responsible. We wholly recommend them to anyone looking for caregivers.

We were looking for independent living facilities for our aunt who is mobile but unable to care for herself. I found red crown through google search and got in touch with them. The staff were very helpful and prompt. Our aunt is very happy and is well taken care of . We also have daily updates on meals as well as access to cctv in the hall so we can see how she’s doing . I have recommended red crown to friends and family looking for similar care

Red Crowns is a company that is easy to work with. It has a personal quality to it. And many innovative and creative services and solutions for senior care. I’ve reached out to several agencies that provide similar services and Red Crowns stands out in terms of their range of services and solutions particularly in the area of caregiving for seniors. Their turn around time and availability of help are also timely and flexible.

We used the services of RetireGenie over 2 weeks and are very satisfied with their team of caregivers. All of them are from Myanmar- they all have the right disposition and genuinely caring . Amongst them, we found Sandar outstanding- cheerful, bright and very responsive.

The young Myanmese caregiver sent to help with showering my husband when he’s on home leave from the nursing home is very caring, compassionate and speaks very gently to him. She also helps with cleaning him up after he’s done with moving his bowels. He allows her to massage him , something that he doesn’t allow if he’s not comfortable with the person. So far I’ve tried Thet Su Mon for 5 days and have requested for her until end of 2025

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Retire Genie charge?

Retire Genie lists its pricing at a mid-range tier, but specific hourly, daily, or package rates were not published at time of listing. As a general guide, visit-based elderly care in Singapore runs S$20–35 per hour, while live-in arrangements involve a separate caregiver salary plus agency placement fee and, where applicable, MOM levy and mandatory insurance. Public holiday surcharges are common across the market. Confirm the exact rate, what is included in the base fee, and any additional charges in writing before committing. Live-in or visit-based — which does Retire Genie offer?

Retire Genie's listing covers elderly caregiver services islandwide, but does not specify whether visit-based, daily, or live-in arrangements are available. In practice, the right model depends on the elder's level of independence, medical needs, and how many hours of support are genuinely required each day. Visit-based care suits elders who are largely independent but need regular assistance; live-in arrangements are better suited to those requiring round-the-clock support. A trial period — typically one to two weeks — is advisable before settling on a longer-term arrangement. Confirm the scope of tasks, hours, and any replacement or cover policy if the assigned caregiver is unavailable, and ask Retire Genie directly which service models they currently provide.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

No regulatory licences were listed for Retire Genie at the time of this listing. For eldercare services in Singapore, caregiver quality signals to look for include formal training in personal care, infection control, and dementia management, as well as registration with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Ministry of Health (MOH) for clinical home care services. Insurance is equally important: confirm whether the agency holds public liability coverage and whether caregivers are covered for work injury. Ask Retire Genie directly about their caregivers' training background, whether they hold any certification (such as the Workforce Skills Qualification in Community and Social Services), and the insurance arrangements in place. Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
