P Tan Family Medicine Clinic Bishan is a general practice clinic located at 503 Bishan Street 11, serving residents across Bishan and the surrounding areas. The clinic holds a 4.5-out-of-5 rating across 420 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides a reliable indication of patient experience. For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. A GP consultation covers presenting symptoms, medication review, referral letters to polyclinics or specialist outpatient clinics where needed, and common chronic-disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders. MediSave can be used under the outpatient withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient use, or S$700 per year under CDMP — and patients holding Integrated Shield Plans should confirm whether their policy extends to GP-level outpatient claims. CHAS cardholders and Pioneer or Merdeka Generation patients may be eligible for subsidised consultation and medication fees at participating GP clinics.
To confirm current consultation hours, queue availability, or whether the clinic participates in CHAS or MediSave CDMP schemes, contact P Tan Family Medicine Clinic Bishan directly by phone or through the enquiry form listed on this page.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Do not take the risk of visiting this clinic. The front-desk receptionist (chinese young lady wearing spectacles) displayed shockingly poor work attitude. With 30 minutes still before closing and ZERO patients present, she flatly refused registration and instead started to chat about dinner plans with her colleague, as if patients were a nuisance! Worse still, she herself is coughing without wearing mask in clinic, entirely disregard of patient safety! This family clinic is lack of training, discipline, & professionalism. Avoid at your all costs.
Friendly staff, good service and good doctor. They listen to my problems empathetically and ensure that my safety and health are prioritized.
Visited the clinic on 15 October 2025 . With my sister, brother in law Overall we had no issues and DR. Tan himself was pleasant. We chatted with the clinic staff and did what we went there to do. All went well. Thank You.

No licence information has been provided for this listing. Every legitimate GP clinic should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) — search by name at smc.gov.sg to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration before booking, as neither the MOH licence nor the SMC entry for this provider has been confirmed through this listing. Contact the clinic directly to ask for these details if they are not displayed on-site or on the clinic's website. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used at CDMP-accredited GP clinics for outpatient management of listed chronic conditions — hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, schizophrenia, major depression, and others — up to S$700 per year per patient. For general outpatient visits not under CDMP, the withdrawal limit is S$500 per year. Confirm whether this clinic is a CDMP-accredited provider before relying on MediSave for chronic-disease medication top-ups. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover GP outpatient consultations unless the policy includes an outpatient rider. However, a GP referral letter to a public hospital specialist outpatient clinic (SOC) can reduce the cost of a specialist visit significantly for Singapore Citizens — from S$120–250 at a private specialist to S$30–80 at a subsidised SOC, though non-urgent waits of 4–12 weeks apply. For any planned investigations or procedures, ask the clinic for a written cost estimate splitting insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
