It holds a Google rating of 4.9 out of 5, though this is based on 7 reviews only and should be treated as directional rather than definitive. Pricing is indicated at the S$$ tier; specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the academy.
Prospective students or parents would typically begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme aligns with the MOE primary or secondary curriculum, an international syllabus such as IB or IGCSE, or a specific enrichment goal. It is worth clarifying whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects both pacing and price. Ask about term commitment and whether a trial class is available before signing up for a full term. The academy can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or an online enquiry form, so initial contact is straightforward.
To take the next step, reach out through WhatsApp or phone to ask about available slots for your child's level, confirm the session format and fees, and enquire whether a trial class can be arranged before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We started 1-to-1 online phonics lessons for my K2 child one month ago, as she was unable to read any words. The progress has been clear - she is now able to read some short vowel words and remember their spellings. She enjoys the lessons and likes her teacher. It’s a good option for kids who need more support than group classes can offer. The only downside is the administrative part - we often have to follow up on monthly invoices to avoid disruptions. It would be better if invoices were sent before each new month. Overall, we’re happy with the program and would definitely recommend it.
After noticing my child’s struggle with phonics at a more commercialized center, a colleague recommended Paced Learning Academy. Following a free assessment, my child was placed in a class tailored to her level. The academy’s flexibility with makeup classes has been greatly appreciated. Teacher Angie has a knack for engaging my child and encouraging her to open up. Overall, I highly recommend Paced Learning Academy to parents seeking a nurturing environment for their young ones to begin their phonics journey.
Signed my girl up for their online classes since she was about 3.5 years of age. They had a free assessment and we felt that online classes would reduce our traveling time. Classes are only 30 min and while initially my daughter had difficulty concentrating for the whole duration, she improved as she went along and after about 6 months, she has shown great improvement and can now confidently read on her own and sits through the class with no problem. (I do sit beside her just in case she faces any difficulty with the app.) The academy is also rather flexible when we need to reschedule due to various reasons and will arrange a make up class to suit our schedule. Teacher Iffa is very patient and is able to make my shy daughter open up to her. All in all, I’m grateful I signed up for Paced Academy and would recommend them to other parents looking to start phonics with their child.
My son enjoyed the classes, he is able to read smoothly by the time he enters primary one. He started phonics with Paced since he was 5 yrs old. Thank you Paced Learning academy
I stay a little far from the center so I was reluctant to go to the center when they offered the free phonics assessment. When I arrived at the center, the entrance was a little ugly too. When I entered, I was greeted by a very polite staff and the teacher was very knowledgeable (was told that the teacher has been teaching for more than 10 years and early childhood trained). Now my younger kid has gained a huge liking in reading and I also put my older child in their Primary school maths. Great service and good tutors.

Paced Learning Academy displays a S$$ price indicator, but specific per-session rates, monthly package fees, and term fees are not publicly listed. In Singapore, enrichment classes in this category typically range from S$30–80 per session for group classes and S$80–200 or more for one-to-one sessions, depending on the subject, level, and tutor's credentials. Packages and term commitments often offer a lower effective rate than pay-per-session arrangements. Additional costs to confirm include any materials or workbook fees, a registration fee (common at many enrichment centres), and whether a trial class carries a separate charge. Sibling discounts or promotional packages may be available — it is worth asking directly. See the full Enrichment Classes cost guide for Singapore →
Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class so families can assess fit before paying for a full term. During a trial, look out for whether the lesson pace suits your child's current level, whether the teaching style keeps your child engaged, and whether the group size allows enough attention from the tutor. A trial class is also a useful opportunity to gauge whether the syllabus aligns with your child's school curriculum or enrichment goals. Some centres charge a nominal fee for the trial; others apply it against the first term's fees if you proceed. Confirm the trial policy and any associated cost when you make first contact with Paced Learning Academy.
Tutor credentials are not publicly listed for Paced Learning Academy. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, whether any have an NIE teaching diploma or prior MOE school teaching experience, and how many years they have been teaching at this level. For syllabus-aligned enrichment, also confirm which curriculum the tutor is trained in — MOE PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IB, or IGCSE — as alignment with your child's school syllabus matters considerably. If credentials are important to your decision, ask for this information before committing to a term. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
