About Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre

About Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre

Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre is a general practice (GP) clinic located at 460 Alexandra Road, #02-15, operating under the Parkway Shenton network and serving patients island-wide. It holds a 3.8 out of 5 rating across 124 Google reviews, a robust sample that provides a reasonable signal of patient experience. No regulatory licences are listed in the available data, and the clinic is not ACRA-registered in our records, so prospective patients should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

For a first visit, patients may walk in or contact the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form. A GP consultation at a private clinic typically runs S$25–60 before any investigations or prescriptions. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan (IP) or those wishing to use MediSave should confirm at the front desk which outpatient items are claimable — selected chronic conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia allow MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500–700 per year for outpatient treatment. Patients who require a specialist referral can ask the GP for a referral letter, which will allow access to public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs) at subsidised rates of S$30–80 for Singapore Citizens.

To arrange an appointment or check current waiting times, contact Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre directly via WhatsApp or phone before attending, particularly during peak morning hours.

Had a pleasant visit today for my pre-employment check! Was served by Vivian at the front counter 👍🏻 Overall, staff there were attentive and friendly. Didn't manage to get all their names but shout-out to the men at the x-ray and Room 6 as well as the female doctor from Room 4 ✌🏻

I'd like to commend the nurses who helped my colleague today without any hesitation. It's a pity I didn't get their names but the lady nurse jumped right into helping me when I first came into the clinic to borrow a blanket. For context - my colleague was experiencing a bad episode of low blood pressure. It got to a point where she was cold and shivering. I saw Parkway and tried my luck to borrow a blanket of some sort. I explained very briefly to the first lady nurse at the counter on what happened and she probably broke protocol to help me obtain a large towel. When my colleague didn't seem to get any better, I went back to the clinic in hopes of getting medical help to shift my colleague to the clinic (it's just opposite but she wasn't able to walk on her own in that condition). The sign says closed but when I opened it, I wasn't turned away. The same lady nurse jumped into getting a male nurse to attend to me, and very quickly, wheeled out a wheelchair. I didn't even have to explain much and she understood what I needed right away. There wasn't talks of payment at that juncture, they were just extending help. I could tell their heart was in the right place. It was very heartwarming because I've met too many medical professionals who didn't have half a heart of what these two had. My colleague eventually saw the doctor and was much better. Thank you to those 2 nurses, may the medical field have more of people like you! P/s. my other colleague thought the towel belonged to us in the chaos. So it's still with us. I'm sorry!!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre charge?

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically costs S$25–60, with follow-up visits on the lower end of that range. On top of the consultation fee, expect to pay separately for investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), a urine dipstick or culture, or a rapid test (S$15–40 for antigen tests). Prescription medications are billed per item and can add S$10–80 depending on the treatment. GST applies on private medical services. For patients on the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), selected outpatient costs are MediSave-claimable up to S$500–700 per year. Confirm at the front desk which items qualify under your specific conditions and whether your Integrated Shield Plan covers any component of the visit. A written receipt itemising each charge is standard practice and should be requested if not provided automatically. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC); you can search by the doctor's name at smc.gov.sg to confirm active registration status and any specialist accreditation or disciplinary notes. No licences are listed in the current KakiList record for Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre, and the clinic does not appear on our ACRA register. Given that Parkway Shenton is a known network of GP clinics in Singapore, the omission likely reflects incomplete listing data rather than the absence of a licence — but patients should confirm the MOH clinic licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly with the clinic before their visit. Neither alone is sufficient; both should be verified.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Parkway Shenton Alexandra Retail Centre?

MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions — with withdrawal limits of S$500 per year (or S$700 if the same account also covers a dependent). GP consultations and investigations for acute illnesses generally cannot be paid with MediSave unless they fall within a CDMP or approved outpatient scheme. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan (IP) layered on MediShield Life, most private IP policies cover inpatient and day-surgery costs but provide limited or no direct cover for standard GP outpatient visits — check your plan terms. For any onward specialist referral or planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving clinic or hospital that clearly splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portion before paying any deposit or proceeding with treatment. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
