In September 2025, I visited Phoenix Upper Thomson with my daughter and was very disappointed. The practice or Phoenix manager tried to attribute their administrative error to my daughter by making false claims and accusing my daughter of impersonating her sister. The company has till now not provided any apology or explanation of their professional misconduct. If a simple registration mistake was handled this way, it raises concerns about how more serious issues might be managed. I would advise caution when dealing with the Phoenix Group.
Newly opened Thomson GP clinic (from Pheonix Medical Group), walking distance from Bright Hill MRT. Dr Lee Kai Lun is very approachable, caring and will spend time to understand & explain what is causing the medical issue. I also appreciate the quality of medicine issued, which strikes a good balance between affordability and efficacy. I recommend to give them a try if you're looking for a quality family doctor.
Great bedside manner n quite a painless jab.. i have a fear of needles! Dr Barron was very professional n careful after knowing my fear of needles!
The clinic is organized and the staff are generally helpful. My visit went smoothly, and the care I received met my expectations.

A standard GP consultation at a private clinic in Singapore typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits generally at the lower end of that range. Investigations are billed on top: a blood panel costs roughly S$60–200 depending on the tests ordered, a urine test S$10–30, and a throat or nasal swab S$20–50. Prescriptions, medical certificates, and referral letters may carry small additional charges. For patients managing chronic conditions, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — up to S$700 per year for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and others. Check with the clinic whether it participates in CDMP before your visit. GST applies on private medical services. See the full GP and 24-hour clinic cost guide for Singapore →
No regulatory licence details are currently recorded for this listing. Every legitimate GP clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — you can verify this on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, which shows their registration status and any disciplinary history. Before attending, search the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register to confirm active registration. If the clinic participates in any Integrated Shield Plan (IP) panel, the insurer's website will also list it by name and address. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration before booking — neither alone is sufficient, and no licence details are currently available on this listing to verify independently.
MediSave can be used at GP clinics participating in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), allowing withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for outpatient management of listed chronic conditions. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-accredited provider before your visit, as not all private GPs participate. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery, but outpatient GP visits at private clinics are typically not claimable unless your plan specifically includes a GP rider or the clinic is on your insurer's panel. Check your IP policy documents or call your insurer before attending to avoid paying out of pocket for a visit you assumed was covered. For any planned procedure or specialist referral arising from the consultation, request a written financial counselling estimate splitting the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
