About Pineapple MMA

About Pineapple MMA

Pineapple MMA is a martial arts education provider offering holiday camps, based at GR.iD Singapore on Selegie Road and serving students islandwide. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a strong rating of 4.9 out of 5 across 215 Google reviews, a robust sample that carries meaningful weight.

Parents looking to enrol a child in a holiday camp should start by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to confirm upcoming camp schedules, age groups catered for, and available slots. It is worth asking whether camps are grouped by experience level — complete beginners and children with prior martial arts exposure typically benefit from separate tracks. Clarify what the camp covers (discipline taught, whether it is MMA, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, or a mixed format), session duration, the instructor-to-student ratio, and whether protective gear is provided or must be brought. Ask also about the full cost, including any registration fee or deposit, and the cancellation or refund policy should plans change during the school holidays.

To take the next step, contact Pineapple MMA directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form to request the current holiday camp schedule, confirm a slot for your child's age group, and ask about a trial class before committing to a full camp.

My husband and I attended a trial session at Pineapple MMA today, and it turned out to be such a fun and sweaty workout! From the moment we stepped onto the mat, we were warmly welcomed by the Krus annd fellow members, which immediately made us feel comfortable. The Krus were very passionate, patient and attentive — they helped us with hand wraps, guided us through the steps clearly and patiently corrected our punches and kicks. We really appreciated the encouragement and support, especially as beginners. We had actually tried trial classes at a few other gyms before this, but Pineapple MMA was the first place where we truly felt at ease. The environment is friendly, supportive, and not intimidating. It also feels like a community that genuinely supports women, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed the session so much that we decided to sign up on the spot! We’re also very thankful to the friendly boss and staff who kindly gave us some additional perks during sign-up — really grateful for the gesture. If you’re looking for a welcoming and beginner-friendly gym to start Muay Thai, I highly recommend Pineapple MMA!

What a beautiful gym! Tidy and clean with funny trainers (funny until they start punching lol 😭😭😭) and a good standard of teaching. I don't know much about muay thai, but the teaching was detailed, interesting, and the classmates were nice. They have a tourist pass too!

I visited Singapore after training in Thailand and found this gym via instagram and reddit. I can say the level of training and coaches here is high, on par with coaches in Thailand. Plus, Pineapple MMA has clearly built a strong community of practitioners. Even in the short three days I was there, I felt could feel the community’s strength and welcoming. Thanks for having me! I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Today marks a year since I joined Pineapple. I have grown immensely under their tutelage - the coaches are amazing, the gym has cultivated a most healthy and fun atmosphere, and I have made many good friends. I believe in the maxim "show, don't tell": there is only so much information reviews can convey, why not drop by for a trial class and experience Pineapple's awesomeness yourself? *Personally, would recommend the core/technique classes (and foundation if you're a beginner).

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Pineapple MMA charge per session?

Pineapple MMA uses a holiday camp format, so pricing is typically structured as a per-camp package rather than a flat per-session rate. Camp fees in Singapore for martial arts holiday programmes generally range from S$150 to S$400 for a multi-day block, depending on duration, discipline, and what is included. Ask whether the quoted price covers protective gear, a camp T-shirt, and any materials, or whether these are billed separately. Registration fees or deposits may also apply to secure a slot. For a precise figure, contact Pineapple MMA directly via WhatsApp or the enquiry form and ask for the current holiday camp schedule and fee breakdown. Can I try a class before committing?

It is worth asking Pineapple MMA whether a trial session or a single drop-in day is available before booking a full holiday camp. A trial lets you assess whether the discipline and teaching style suit your child's temperament, fitness level, and interest — factors that matter more than the camp's general reputation. When attending a trial, observe how instructors manage group dynamics, how quickly they correct technique, and whether the pace is appropriate for your child's experience level. If a standalone trial is not offered, ask whether a partial refund applies if the child opts out after the first day. Contact Pineapple MMA directly via WhatsApp or phone to confirm the current trial policy.

What are the instructors' credentials at Pineapple MMA?

Martial arts instruction in Singapore does not require a government-issued teaching licence, so instructor credibility rests on competition background, coaching certifications (such as those from national sports associations or international bodies like the IBJJF or WKF affiliates), and years of coaching experience. It is reasonable to ask Pineapple MMA directly about the lead instructors' competitive history, any formal coaching qualifications, and how long they have been teaching children specifically. For holiday camps in particular, also ask about the instructor-to-student ratio during sessions and whether the same instructors lead every day of the camp for consistency. If specific credentials are not listed publicly, Pineapple MMA can be contacted via WhatsApp or phone to clarify before booking.
