About Pinnacle Family Clinic River Valley
Pinnacle Family Clinic River Valley is a general practice clinic located at 240 River Valley Road, Singapore 238297, serving patients across the island. It is listed as KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. The clinic holds a 3.5/5 rating across 176 Google reviews — a robust sample size, though the rating sits below the 4.0 threshold that would indicate broadly consistent patient satisfaction. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in this listing, and the clinic is not ACRA-registered in our records; prospective patients are encouraged to verify licensing directly with MOH before booking.
For a GP visit, patients typically walk in or book by phone or the online form. A standard consultation covers presenting symptoms, examination, prescriptions, and referral letters where a specialist opinion is needed. Patients intending to claim under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — which covers conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, and asthma — should confirm CDMP participation at the clinic, as this determines whether MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits apply to outpatient visits. For those with Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life, GP visits at a private clinic are generally outpatient and not claimable under most IP inpatient benefits; confirm your plan terms with your insurer. Screen for Life subsidised health screening is available at CHAS GP clinics — confirm CHAS accreditation with the clinic if this applies to you.
Contact Pinnacle Family Clinic River Valley directly by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm current consultation hours, CHAS accreditation status, and whether a specific condition or service is offered before making the journey.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I'm a DH here in Singapore and I have to do medical every 6 mos. Everytime I go for medical I have so much worry cause it's really hard to find my vein. I met Dr. Wong Sook Yee I think she's not a doctor. I think she's an Angel 😇. Thank u Dr. Wong❤️❤️❤️ I hope to see u again ❤️❤️❤️. She's so good she took my blood in a blink of an eye. Before she took my blood she chichat with me. I didn't expect that though...we talk like she's my mom. She also say a little prayer and told me to trust God and don't be afraid. Everytime I go for medical my fair is always through the roof. Doctors have to repeat so many times. And I'm not saying that it's their fault for not finding my veins so easily. It's really hard super hard to find it. And all the doctors are very apologetic and feel bad for not finding it faster and have to look and repeat many times. And I totally understand and apologize to them. They give lots of tips too like drinking lots of water.😊
After Dr Mok is no longer around - the standard dropped drastically. I saw Dr Jason for persistent cough which antibotic is given and he mentioned that the course will need to be extended - just after 3 days, the cough although improve slightly, persisted, the clinic insisted that I re queeue to see another doctor ( is not Dr Jason) and a new course of antibiotic was given - augmentin - as this is a five day course and I usually have very bad nausea feeling, thus need to make sure that is really the right antibiotic - when I googled if Augmentin antibiotic and another doctor friend felt this does not cure flu or cough virus , when I call up the clinic -to speak to the doctor to clarify , the assistance insist that I revisit the doctor to re queeue to speak to him as doctor is very busy . I can understand that every doctor is very engaged however, antibiotic cannot be administrated loosely - of course from consumer if chat gtp ( which pulls out information that it does not cure cough viral and another doctor has doubt on this - isn’t it the right for patient to ask more before consuming antibiotic - ? In the past Dr Mok no matter how busy will take the time to explain - doesn’t help when the counter young lady at counter pull a long face showing her impatient
I was honestly skeptical at first after seeing so many bad reviews, and even my daughter told me not to go. But I decided to give it a try — and I’m glad I did. I called before 8:30am and they were already open. The staff confirmed Dr Jason was in, they do medical examinations, told me the price, and asked me to just walk in. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by an elderly lady cleaning the front, and the two reception staff were polite and efficient. They took my NRIC and gave me queue number 24. A patient who came after me went in first, but they explained he had an appointment while I was a walk-in, which I respect. When I met Dr Jason, I was impressed. He was very thorough, asked the right questions, and handled the examination efficiently. In less than 5 minutes, everything was done smoothly. I even asked him why there were so many negative reviews when he clearly knows his work. He simply told me he doesn’t bother about reviews and just focuses on doing his job well — I respect that mindset. The clinic itself is clean, the toilet is big and well maintained, and the whole process felt professional. Dr Jason actually starts at 8:30am (many other clinics only open at 9am), so that’s a big plus if you want to go early. Overall, I had a very positive experience. They did everything perfectly for me. Sometimes reviews don’t tell the full story — I think they deserve a chance.
Terrible numbering system, and there no sense of urgency or severity of patient condition - there were several non-urgent cases before us. They were not present when number was called (while we have been waiting in the clinic the whole time), but was able to be attended to when they come back to the clinic, never mind those who have been sitting and waiting with much severe condition - on the verge of fainting
Went here for my health screening. Dr was friendly and kind, apologising for poking me a few times. Nurses were friendly and efficient, despite it being a busy morning. Only downside is the toilet is a squattie - difficult for urine samples.

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit, with after-hours or public-holiday surcharges on top. Investigations billed separately include blood panels (S$60–200 depending on scope), urine tests, and rapid diagnostics. Prescriptions are charged at cost plus a dispensing fee. Patients holding a CHAS Orange or Blue card receive subsidised consultation fees at accredited CHAS clinics — confirm whether Pinnacle Family Clinic River Valley participates in CHAS before your visit, as this affects out-of-pocket cost significantly. MediSave can offset selected outpatient bills under CDMP (up to S$500–700/year for listed chronic conditions). GST applies to private medical services. Pinnacle Family Clinic River Valley displays a '$$' price indicator, which is broadly consistent with mid-range private GP pricing in the River Valley area. No regulatory licences are confirmed in this listing, which is a gap worth investigating before booking. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Patients are strongly advised to check both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC entry independently before attending. Neither the KakiList verification nor a physical address substitutes for these regulatory checks. Contact the clinic directly by phone and ask for the clinic's MOH licence number and the name of the consulting doctor(s) so you can verify on the respective public registers. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
For outpatient GP visits at a private clinic, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — up to S$500 per year under MediSave 500, or S$700 per year for households meeting specific criteria — for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, stroke, COPD, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm CDMP participation at the clinic before assuming MediSave is applicable, as not all private GP clinics are enrolled. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient and day-surgery claims rather than standard outpatient GP consultations. Some riders extend to private specialist outpatient visits, but a routine GP consultation at a private clinic is typically self-pay. If a referral to a private specialist follows, confirm pre-authorisation with your insurer before the specialist appointment to avoid claim disputes. For any planned investigation or procedure beyond a standard consultation, ask the clinic for a written itemised estimate splitting insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
