About PK Ang Family Clinic and Surgery
PK Ang Family Clinic and Surgery is a general practice clinic located at 106 Hougang Ave 1, serving patients across Singapore. The clinic has been verified by KakiList, and holds a 4.6-star rating across 84 Google reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data, so prospective patients are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.
For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times — most family medicine clinics in Singapore operate on a walk-in basis for acute presentations, with phone or WhatsApp enquiries used to confirm opening hours and whether the doctor is available. The clinic covers the range of conditions seen in general practice: acute illness, minor injuries, chronic disease management (hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders) under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), and routine health screening. Patients with Integrated Shield Plans should check whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel, as GP visits are generally not MediShield Life-claimable unless the consultation is through a CDMP-listed condition or Screen for Life programme. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient treatments under the S$500 or S$700 CDMP withdrawal limits.
To confirm a visit, contact PK Ang Family Clinic and Surgery via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to check current operating hours and queue availability before heading down.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

Nurse Jean is helpful, kind and easy going. Dr Timothy is helpful and kind. Dr always explain very clearly to request. I like the nurse and doctor here, they remember their every patient. Will only visit this clinic when needed. Best clinic in this area as compared with other clinic. Awesome 👍👍👍
Nurse, Jean, was very friendly and professional. Doctors, Doc Hilary Ang and Doc Tan Toon Wei has been very professional and detailed in explaining condition to me. Thank you.
Had a recent check up at this clinic, and had a great experience throughout. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, making sure the registration and subsequent payment process was a breeze to get through. Dr Timothy Koh was really patient and gentle and helpful too. Took time to patiently describe various areas of the blood test I was about to take, and when it came time to draw blood, he was gentle and skillful - very reassuring to be around. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a family doctor or clinic.
I had my Healthier SG checkup with Dr Timothy. My experience throughout was a very pleasant one. Starting from the sweet admin Jean to the efficient Dr Timothy. Jean is a pleasant lady who answers my questions with patience and understanding. As for Dr Timothy, he explained my health issues in a very detailed manner. He has empathy and was truly concerned with my well being and gave me a number of tips and advice on how to improve my health moving forward. Looking forward to all my checkups here.

GP consultations at private family clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with additional charges for investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$10–30, swab S$20–50), prescriptions, and any in-clinic procedures such as wound dressing or minor excisions. For chronic disease management under the CDMP, subsidised rates may apply if the clinic participates in the programme — confirm this directly, as not all private GP clinics are enrolled. Medifund and Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) subsidies are available at enrolled clinics for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs, and can reduce out-of-pocket costs substantially for lower-income households. GST applies on private medical services. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. No licence information has been confirmed in this listing, so patients should verify this directly with the clinic or check the MOH directory before their first visit. Every practising doctor in Singapore is registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and whether the doctor holds any specialist accreditation. For a general practice setting, full SMC registration without a specialist tag is the expected credential. Confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry before booking — neither alone is sufficient.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover outpatient GP visits unless the consultation results in a hospital admission — confirm your plan's outpatient rider terms before expecting reimbursement. MediSave can be used for selected outpatient treatments: up to S$500 per year for general outpatient conditions, or S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, stroke, and asthma, among others. CHAS cardholders (Blue, Orange, and Green tiers) receive subsidised consultation and medication fees at enrolled CHAS GP clinics — confirm whether PK Ang Family Clinic and Surgery is an enrolled CHAS clinic, as this affects your out-of-pocket cost significantly. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate that clearly splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
