About "Play Tennis"
Play Tennis is a sports education provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed under Sport and Swimming Schools on KakiList and independently verified by a KakiList reviewer. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 267 reviews, a robust sample that lends reasonable confidence to that figure. If you are considering enrolling yourself or your child, the usual starting point is to enquire about which level and programme best matches your current ability or goals. Ask whether the coaching is available in group sessions or one-to-one format, as the two differ considerably in intensity and cost. Confirm whether classes run on a term basis or allow more flexible month-to-month commitment, and check whether sessions are held outdoors at courts near you or at a fixed venue on Chai Chee Road. It is also worth asking about the coach's background and how the syllabus is structured for progression across skill levels.
To take the first step, reach out to Play Tennis via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about a trial class, confirm availability at a location convenient to you, and request the current fee schedule before committing.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Play tennis allows you to learn tennis and at the same time meet new friends. Alycia has been very helpful and friendly especially when it comes to rescheduling lessons. She also gives helpful tips when learning. The coaches especially coach Steven and coach Claire is great as they make learning fun. Their passion for tennis is seen and it makes me want to learn from them.
Play! Tennis has a very nice outdoor court on the eighth floor. Coaches are very warm hearted and very encouraging with students. Helping each player to improve their groundstrokes on the spot when there are mistakes. It has a small retail shop at the side of the tennis court as well where it sells Balls, Shoes, Rackets and even Restringing services. Highly recommended for everyone who is keen to learn tennis and to have fun while playing tennis. 👍
Came from the Philippines wanting to experience playing Tennis in a foreign country and Play!Tennis was the only organization we came across that was very accomodating in helping us find a convenient location as well as a coach to play with. As an intermediate tennis player my session was focused more on cleaning up my technique and footwork, as well as some groundstrokes and we even touched on my net game which I appreciated 😊. Overall I enjoyed and was very happy with how accomodating they were to us 😊. Thank you to Coach Steven for hitting with me and helping me clean up my game 🎾 and Alycia for helping us organize everything! Many thanks from the Philippines 🇵🇭!!!!
Highly recommend Play Tennis. Great coaches who can give clear feedback on what needs to be improved. Each coach remember all our names which is incredible and our tennis level. More important is ‘lots of fun’ in learning tennis at Play Tennis
I like ChaiChee's venue, because it is outdoors and I can lock my vitamin D in haha. If you play in the evening may catch the sunset, love the aesthetics of this place and there is even a chill out room with aircon, vending machine and paddles that you can rent. 10/10 would recommend

Play Tennis has not published a specific per-session rate in its listing, so the exact figure should be confirmed directly. As a general guide, tennis coaching in Singapore typically ranges from S$30–60 per session for group classes and S$80–150 or more for one-to-one coaching, depending on the coach's experience, court hire arrangement, and class size. Ask whether fees are charged per session, as a monthly package, or on a term basis, and whether a materials or court fee is included. Some providers charge a separate registration fee for new students, and sibling or multi-session discounts are occasionally available. A trial class fee, if offered, may differ from the standard rate. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
It is reasonable to ask Play Tennis whether a trial class is available before signing up for a term or package. A trial session lets you assess the coaching style, pacing, and whether the group's ability level is a good match — all factors that matter more than the brochure description. During a trial, observe how the coach structures the session, how much individual attention students receive, and whether the drills are appropriate for your current level. If you are enrolling a younger child, note how the coach manages engagement and encourages effort. Contact Play Tennis via WhatsApp or phone to ask about trial availability and any associated fee before attending.
Coaching credentials are not listed in the current provider data, so this is an important question to raise directly with Play Tennis before enrolling. Relevant qualifications to ask about include ITF or Tennis Singapore coaching certification, years of competitive or teaching experience, and any specialisation in junior development or adult beginner programmes. If syllabus alignment matters to you — for example, if you are preparing for school team selection or inter-school competition — ask whether the curriculum is structured around recognised frameworks. Contact Play Tennis to request details on the coaching team before committing to a term.
