About Pooch Academy
Pooch Academy is a pet training provider operating islandwide across Singapore, listed at a mid-range price point ($$) and verified by KakiList. It holds a 5/5 rating across 2,757 Google reviews — a robust sample that points to consistently positive client experiences. When getting started, it helps to have your pet's size, breed, and temperament details ready, as these affect which training programme is the right fit. Vaccination records are typically required before any sessions begin, so gather those in advance. A trial visit or introductory session is worth requesting to gauge how your pet responds to the trainer and environment. If you have a dog with specific behavioural concerns — reactivity, recall, or leash manners, for instance — note these when making initial contact so the team can recommend the most appropriate programme. For recurring training schedules, confirm the session frequency and any package terms at the outset.
To take the next step, reach out to Pooch Academy via WhatsApp or phone to describe your pet's profile and training goals, and ask about current availability and session formats before committing.
Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
Waggie is a fantastic dog training school, and Patrick brings years of experience in dog training. His methods are tried and tested, and most importantly, very easy to understand and follow. The lessons are engaging and enjoyable, and while there is homework involved, it’s practical, helpful, and manageable. Patrick explains things clearly and consistently, which makes the training process feel structured and achievable. If you’re considering dog training but skeptical, I would highly recommend going ahead with Waggie. We’ve trained two dogs with Patrick in the past with great success, and we’ve been very happy with the results. If we ever get another dog, we would definitely return to Patrick again.
We had a fantastic experience at Waggie Dog Training School. The trainers are not only very experienced but also incredibly friendly and approachable, which made the process enjoyable for both me and my dog. A special thank you to our trainer, Patrick! After attending just a few of his sessions, my dog able to perform "auto-sit" behavior. It's amazing to see the results so quickly. I highly recommend Waggie, and especially Patrick, for any dog owner looking for effective and kind training.
Highly recommend Waggie Dog School! The training is clear, structured, and very effective. I saw real improvement in my dog’s obedience and focus after just a few lessons. Patrick is extremely experienced and explains things in a way that’s easy for owners to follow. Great learning environment for both dogs and humans!
Our first dog was already trained by Patrick and we saw all the benefits of it, so it was a no brainer for us to send our second puppy to Patrick’s obedience school. His methods are backed by years of experience and we trust it entirely. It brings us great joy and relief to have happy, well trained dogs who we trust to listen to us whenever needed.
I sent both of my Mame Shiba siblings for training and the experience has been nothing but amazing. Our trainer, Patrick is patient, knowledgeable and truly understands how to work with dogs of different personalities. Daiki and Rikka made great progress in their obedience and confidence. Every session was clear, encouraging and tailored to their needs. I could see the care and dedication put into helping them learn and adjust. I am very happy with the results and highly recommend this trainer to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and effective.

Pooch Academy is listed at a mid-range price point ($$), though specific per-session fees are not published on this listing. In the Singapore market, pet training sessions typically range from S$80 to S$250 per session depending on format (group class vs private), the trainer's experience, and programme length. Package deals covering multiple sessions are common and usually offer a lower per-session rate than booking individually. When enquiring, ask about any surcharges for larger or more reactive breeds, travel fees if the trainer comes to your home, and what is included in each session (written notes, follow-up support, materials). Confirm whether a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your slot. See the full pet training cost guide for Singapore →
For dogs, most reputable pet training providers in Singapore require up-to-date DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and rabies vaccinations, with proof dated within the past 12 months. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly requested, particularly for group classes where dogs are in close proximity. For cats attending any group sessions, FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is the standard requirement. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a vet-issued certificate to the first session — some providers will ask to see it before confirming enrolment. Contact Pooch Academy directly to confirm their exact vaccination policy, as requirements can vary by programme type and the age of your pet.
Pooch Academy is verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channels. It carries a 5/5 rating across 2,757 Google reviews — a robust sample. However, no ACRA business registration has been confirmed for this listing, and no AVS (Animal and Veterinary Service) licence is recorded here. AVS licensing is relevant primarily for boarding and grooming facilities rather than training services, but it is worth asking the provider directly about their professional credentials, trainer certifications, and whether they carry liability insurance in the event a pet is injured during a session. For training specifically, ask about the trainer's qualifications — recognised certifications such as those from the APDT or PPAB are a useful indicator of professional standards. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
