About "Por Vida Skateboarding"
Por Vida Skateboarding is a KakiList-verified sports education provider operating islandwide from its base at GR.iD, 1 Selegie Road, in central Singapore. It holds a 4.5-star rating across 30 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that offers a reasonable directional signal. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level, though specific session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
Prospective students or parents are best served by enquiring about level and experience fit before enrolling — skateboarding programmes typically span beginner, intermediate, and more advanced tracks, and confirming which is appropriate avoids mismatched expectations. It is worth asking whether classes run as group sessions or offer one-to-one coaching, what the term or session commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before signing up for a package. The Selegie Road location at GR.iD is accessible by MRT via Dhoby Ghaut or Little India stations.
To get started, reach out to Por Vida Skateboarding via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form on their listing to ask about current class schedules, available levels, and whether a trial session can be arranged before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Great place to skate for beginners and intermediate skateboarders. Fully air Conditioned and away from the humidity outside. Mini ramp is fun and mellow. Worth the money! Go skate there!
Excellent indoor skatepark, suitable for both beginners and pros. There are many quarter pipes of different sizes and a medium sized halfpipe. Street obstacles are plenty too - ledges, rails, boxes, kickers, a mini pump track and more. The entire park is also cleverly padded to prevent injuries and board dings. I came at 10am on a weekday and had the entire park to myself. $15 for 2 hours is reasonable. The aircon is also strong. Drinks available there from a vending machine. Just one issue - parking there is expensive! 4 hrs, $15! So if you drive, park somewhere else to save money.
Fun skate park at indoor, good for all weather!! Huge space with air-con!! Location is convenient also. Training facility is good for all levels!! I can’t wait for my next session!!
If you're looking to start skateboarding, this is a good place to start. Coaches are helpful and patient. If you're a intermediate skater, this is also a good place to try your tricks and learn new tricks. The mini ramp here is mellow enough for beginnners and wide enough to feel safe. Ask any of the coaches around even when you're not having lessons and if they're available, they'd give you a tip or two. Really good value add in my opinion. It's a family friendly and encouraging environment. My only gripe is sometimes it can get crowded with children who don't pay attention to their surroundings, but hey... this happens at EVERY decent skate park. :D
I can’t recommend my skateboard coach, Jared, enough! He’s incredibly experienced and always knows exactly what led to a fall, helping me correct it. He creates such a safe learning environment, offering constant support and reassurance. I always feel like I’m in good hands, and he’s ready to catch me if I fall. Truly the best coach I’ve had!

Por Vida Skateboarding has not published specific session rates on their listing, so you will need to contact them directly for current pricing. In the Singapore market, sports enrichment classes of this type typically range from around S$30–60 per group session, with one-to-one coaching running higher. Monthly packages and term bundles often work out cheaper per session than drop-in rates. Ask whether there is a registration or materials fee on top of the session cost, and whether sibling or multi-session discounts apply. Confirm if a separate fee applies for the trial class, as policies vary between providers. See the full Sport & Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many sports enrichment providers in Singapore offer a single trial session at a reduced rate or as part of the first month's fee — it is worth asking Por Vida Skateboarding directly whether this option is available and what it costs. A trial class is useful for assessing whether the level is appropriate, whether your child is engaged with the teaching style, and whether the group dynamic is a good fit. During the trial, look for clear instruction, appropriate safety guidance, and whether the coach adjusts to different ability levels within the group. If the provider does not formally offer a trial, ask whether you can observe a class before enrolling.
Credential details for Por Vida Skateboarding's coaching team are not listed publicly, so it is advisable to ask directly. Relevant questions include how long the lead coaches have been teaching, whether they hold any recognised skateboarding or sports coaching certifications, and whether coaches have experience working with the relevant age groups. For a sport like skateboarding, first-aid certification and familiarity with safety and protective equipment standards are also worth confirming. If the programme is aimed at younger children, ask about the coach-to-student ratio to ensure adequate supervision during sessions.
