About Potong Pasir Medical Clinic
Potong Pasir Medical Clinic is a general practice clinic located at 148 Potong Pasir Ave 1, serving residents in the Potong Pasir area and the broader central region of Singapore. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channels. It holds a 4.0/5 rating across 80 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable directional signal. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data, and ACRA registration has not been verified — prospective patients should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before attending.
For a first visit to a GP clinic, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. The consultation covers presenting symptoms, a physical examination, and where needed, point-of-care diagnostics such as a rapid test, urine dipstick, or basic blood-pressure check. The doctor may prescribe medication dispensed on-site, issue a medical certificate, or refer to a polyclinic or specialist if the condition warrants. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or high cholesterol listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, MediSave 500 or CDMP withdrawal limits may apply — confirm this with the clinic before the visit. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should note that GP consultations are typically not covered under IP (which is primarily for hospitalisation), though selected riders and shield plans do cover outpatient GP visits.
To arrange a consultation, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry via the contact form on KakiList, then confirm current queue availability and whether a walk-in is accepted on the day.

Dr Shanty and her staff have been a great blessing to the PP residents here. She is a caring doctor with a touch of empathy and prepares sweet treats / stickers to cater for the kids. Her medicine has always worked for me and very thankful she can be a source of professional medical assistance for this neighbourhood.
Worse clinic ever. Came for my medical review and this Dr Shanty was impatient and rude. Didn’t go thru my report at all . Instead the whole time was telling me they used another type of tube for my glucose test and the glucose results came back differently. Instead of being apologetic, she brushed off saying wrong bottle used that’s why results is falsely recorded . Asked if I want to take the blood test again. Of course I wasn’t ready for another blood test out of the blue as I didn’t not fast. She says up to you. Even mentioned since I have no history of high glucose - likely won’t have. So presumptuous . Really can’t be trusted . Waste my time that she don’t even bother to go thru other tests and my reviews. Clearly disappointed by the bad attitude and unprofessionalism
One of the best clinic around the neighbourhood. I was there for consultation on 5th Sept. It suppose to be a normal consultation due to high BP and some other issues. However it turned out to be kind of emergency state where my heart rate was raising and start sweating. Dr. Caleb handle the situation very professionally and called the ambulance. Ms. Candy offer me some water. I was unable to hold the cup as my hands shaking terribly. She assisted me to sip a little water and calm me. I was transferred immediately to the hospital by ambulance. Thank you Dr. Caleb, Ms.Candy and the entire team. Big thank to the ambulance paramedics team too.
I am a new patient in this clinic. Dr. Shanty was helping me that day. She patiently studied through my medical history records and asked about my previous conditions as well before coming to my current issue. She attentively listen to my current condition which I have been suffering for the past few weeks already. This really surprised me because most other doctors I met don't really ask about any of my past medical history but just want to settle the current issue then that it. The staff are very friendly and informative in explaining any quiry and medicine. Thank you very much to all 👍
First of all, the staffs at the counter are very nice and willing to help to all the customers and they communicate very well with all the customers. Secondly, my most sincere appreciation goes to Dr Shanty🫶. Dr Shanty will always try to know her patient very well. She is very well knowledged and skilled too. Dear Dr Shanty and staffs, you all will be remembered for your passionate and professionalism. Keep up the good work and cheers 🙌🙌🙌

GP consultation fees at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up reviews generally at the lower end of that range. If investigations are required, expect additional charges: a blood panel S$60–200, urinalysis S$20–50, rapid swab tests S$15–40, and any prescribed medication billed separately. GST applies on private medical services. For Singapore Citizens and PRs with a polyclinic or GP referral letter, public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinics offer subsidised first consultations at S$30–80, though waiting times for non-urgent appointments run 4–12 weeks. As a GP clinic, Potong Pasir Medical Clinic is positioned for walk-in primary care rather than specialist referral pathways. Confirm the current fee schedule directly with the clinic before attending. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for Potong Pasir Medical Clinic. This does not necessarily mean they are absent — the information may simply not have been submitted to KakiList. Patients are strongly encouraged to ask the clinic for their MOH licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration number before booking, and to cross-check both on the respective public registers. Neither the MOH licence alone nor the SMC entry alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
For GP visits, MediSave can be used under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) if you are managing a listed condition such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, or stroke, with a withdrawal limit of S$500 per year for general outpatient CDMP claims and S$700 per year for the expanded CDMP list. Routine GP consultations not under CDMP are generally not MediSave-claimable. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover hospitalisation, day surgery, and specialist outpatient visits — standard GP consultations are not typically covered unless the patient holds a specific outpatient rider. Check your plan terms with your insurer before assuming coverage. If a referral to a specialist or day surgery arises from a GP consultation, request a pre-authorisation and Letter of Guarantee from your insurer before proceeding to avoid claim disputes after the fact. Confirm with Potong Pasir Medical Clinic at the point of registration whether they are a CDMP-participating clinic and which MediSave withdrawal codes apply to your condition.
