Our child has just graduated from the Speech Excellence Programme and we wanted to leave a review for parents who are considering public speaking courses for their children because Public Speaking Academy (PSA) has helped our child tremendously. Our child was a shy child, anxious about being at the centre of attention. If he could choose, he would prefer to be seated at the back, amongst the audience. Yet, we knew the importance of public speaking, of communicating his ideas clearly and confidently. We researched several centres which provided public speaking courses and were drawn to PSA's robust curriculum. It clearly lays out the themes which are covered every month and every of these themes are so relatable to our child. His trainer, Mr. Darren Tay, is professional and passionate, and even more importantly, relatable, sincere and honest. He builds great rapport with the children, guides them patiently on the skills and techniques, and is clear and encouraging when providing feedback. Most of the presentations are recorded with verbal / written feedback given, so parents are kept up to date on the progress of their children. Our child loves coming for the weekly lessons, and is always excited to see Darren. Additionally, the admin team has always been very helpful and prompt in assisting with any queries via whatsapp or in person! We will miss coming here for our child's weekly lessons and will always be grateful for the team's commitment in nurturing our child's public speaking skills.

Fast forward 3 years and both my boys have completed their journey here. Even though the topics may repeat yearly, they never lost interest and they enjoyed every single class. That speaks volumes about the engaging and encouraging environment created by Mr Darron and his team. Mr Darron is not just a world champion in public speaking, he is a gracious, generous and truly passionate educator. Every week, it became our Sunday routine to attend class and then have lunch at Kek. It feels surreal that this chapter has come to an end. What matters most? The transformation. My boys are no longer shy. They’ve grown into confident, well spoken young men who can present themselves in public with clarity and poise. That confidence is something no school subject alone can teach, it’s life-changing! The academy is also incredibly flexible and honest. On the rare occasions when we couldn’t make a class, as long as we informed them, they would credit the lesson back without hesitation. But what truly stands out is their care for the kids. Mr Darron constantly motivates them with trophies, encourages active participation and even surprises them with fun treats like YouTuber chocolates, Prime drinks and more.
