When enquiring, it helps to come prepared with the student's current level, the subject or syllabus in question (for example, MOE, IGCSE, or IB), and any particular areas of difficulty. Ask whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this can affect both pace and price. Clarify whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term, what materials are provided, and whether sessions are held on-site at the Orchard Road centre or offered online. Term commitment requirements and make-up lesson policies are also worth confirming upfront.
To get started, reach out to Q Education via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on their profile. Share the student's year level and subject needs so the team can recommend the most suitable class format and schedule.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Would highly recommend QE’s IB Physics Tutoring with teacher Eugene Chan. Just a month into his lessons, I immediately saw a tremendous improvement in my academic results as an IB student. Having been struggling in Physics HL for the first 1.5 years of IB, Eugene’s lessons were a game changer for my grades when I jumped me from 5s and 6s ,to a grade 7 for prelims - and consequent straight 7s for IB HL Physics. 🔥 Eugene is an extremely hardworking and skilled teacher who has made very extensive and detailed notes that covers every corner of the IB Physics syllabus, ensuring to capture even very niche questions and topics prepare his students for the IB Physics exam to the fullest extent. Eugene also tailors his lesson plans according to students, creating extra notes of high quality whenever he finds new questions or concepts of high priority. He is also very down to earth and patient with his students, ensuring a conducive and comfortable class environment for all. Very very big thanks to Quintessential Education and Eugene for your immense help in getting a high 7 for Physics HL :)
I can’t thank Mr Bai (Maths) and Teacher Angela Chian (Chemistry) enough for how much they’ve helped me improve in IB. When I first started, I was struggling and sitting around 3’s, feeling pretty discouraged. Through their clear explanations, patience, and ability to break down difficult concepts, they completely changed how I approach learning. Mr Bai makes complex maths topics feel manageable and really focuses on building strong fundamentals, which boosted my confidence and problem-solving skills. Angela’s chemistry lessons are incredibly structured and engaging, she explains the why behind concepts, not just the steps, which made everything click. Thanks to their support and teaching style, I’ve been able to raise my scores all the way to 7’s. More importantly, I actually enjoy learning these subjects now. I highly recommend them to any IB student who wants real improvement and guidance.
As a parent, I am extremely grateful for Eugene’s guidance. My child initially achieved Grade B in IGCSE Physics and Additional Mathematics, but under Eugene’s teaching, the final IGCSE results improved to an A* in Physics and an A in Additional Mathematics. What stood out was Eugene’s focus on helping students truly understand concepts rather than relying on memorisation. He consistently encouraged active learning through practice questions and taught my child how to learn from mistakes instead of simply revising notes. This approach not only led to a significant improvement in grades, but also built confidence in both Physics and Additional Mathematics.
Mr Eugene taught me IB HL Physics from 2024-2025 and my confidence in physics improved significantly under his guidance. He makes learning engaging, and his concise yet thoughtful explanations helped me understand even the most challenging topics with ease. Mr Eugene is also an exceptionally patient and kind tutor who answers every question with enthusiasm and clarity. I am extremely grateful to have been taught by him, as he has played an integral role in helping me achieve excellent results in my final exam.
Angela is a great chemistry tutor, her lessons were very focused and effective, helping me improve my chemistry to a 7! Audrey is a great English Language and Literature tutor. She provides her students with clear, effective feedback that raised my English to a 7. Mr Bai’s math lessons were effective in clarifying my weaknesses and providing useful exam strategies, highly recommended for IB maths!

Q Education's pricing is indicated at the S$$ tier, though exact per-session rates, monthly package fees, and term commitments have not been published publicly. Tuition centres in Singapore typically charge on a per-session or monthly basis, and some offer bundled term packages at a slight discount compared to pay-as-you-go rates. It is worth asking whether a trial class carries a separate fee, whether printed or digital materials are included, and whether sibling or multi-subject enrolment discounts apply. Confirm all fees in writing before committing to a term. See the full tuition cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres offer a trial class — either complimentary or at a nominal fee — so that students and parents can assess whether the teaching style, pace, and class level are a good fit before signing up for a full term. It is advisable to ask Q Education directly whether a trial session is available for the relevant subject and level. During a trial, pay attention to how the tutor explains concepts, whether the student feels appropriately challenged, and how questions are handled. A single session is usually enough to judge engagement and level suitability. Confirm the trial fee and whether it is credited towards the first month if you decide to proceed.
Tutor credentials at Q Education — such as NIE or MOE teaching experience, university degree discipline, years in the classroom, and syllabus specialisation — have not been published on the listing. These details can vary significantly between centres, and it is reasonable to ask for this information before enrolling. When speaking with the centre, enquire whether tutors are familiar with the specific syllabus your child follows (MOE, IGCSE, IB, or AP), how long they have been teaching the subject, and whether the same tutor is assigned consistently rather than rotated. You may also wish to ask whether the centre's tutors hold any professional development or subject-specific certifications.
