About Raffles Medical Hillion Mall

About Raffles Medical Hillion Mall

Raffles Medical Hillion Mall is a general practice clinic located at Hillion Mall, Petir Road, serving residents across Bukit Panjang and the surrounding western districts. The clinic holds a 4.4/5 rating across 490 Google reviews, a robust sample that suggests consistent patient satisfaction. No regulatory licences have been confirmed in the listing data, and ACRA registration has not been verified — patients should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctors' Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before booking.

A typical visit to a GP clinic follows a straightforward pathway. For everyday consultations covering acute illness, chronic disease follow-up, vaccinations, or health screening, patients can walk in or call ahead to confirm queue availability. The clinic sits within Hillion Mall and is accessible via Bukit Panjang MRT and Bus Interchange, making it convenient for working adults and families in the area. Patients managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia may be eligible for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which allows MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year for outpatient treatment at participating GP clinics. For conditions requiring specialist input, the clinic can issue a referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC), which reduces the first consultation fee to approximately S$30–80 for subsidised Singapore Citizens, though non-urgent waits typically run four to twelve weeks.

Was at this clinic today cos of flu. When I entered, I was told to scan the QR code on my phone to get a queue umber. No other information was offered. So I happily scanned the QR code got the queue number and left for my breakfast. I had no appetite for the past 2 days and finally was feeling hungry at this point. When I came back later, I was told that I missed my queue for doing registration and thus I had to wait for two more hours. I was given the alternative that i could return in the afternoon instead. I was shocked. I was asked why didn't I respond when my number was called for at least twice for registration. Really how could I respond when I was already out of the clinic and seriously had no idea I had to wait for registration? Good thing for me, Nurse Davani came to my rescue and said they can send my records to the doctor and I could see him soon instead of waiting for another 2 hours. Now looking back, I realised what a boo-boo i have made. I was at the clinic once for Healthy SG and maybe another time. Seriously cannot remember I need to do scanning of QR code and then wait for registration. Could all of these stresses and unpleasantness be avoided if I was gently reminded that I have to stay and wait after scanning QR code for registration at counter? Dr Lai Yi Neng was kind and attentive. Sorry Dr Lai and Nurse Davani, I would have given you 5 stars if it wasn't for the queue system.

I received notification that it was my turn after 1hr of waiting. There were only 4 people queuing before me when I registered. Did the doctor really spend 15min with each patient? I noticed that the doctor never left the room to use the toilet, so the wait cannot be attributed to the doctor taking a toilet break. Mind you, I am ok with doctors taking breaks. In fact, they should. However, I can't understand why the wait is this long when there were no visible signs of a toilet break. My conclusion - only visit this outlet if you love long waits.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Raffles Medical Hillion Mall charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine tests, X-rays (S$80–150), and prescribed medications. For health screening packages, costs vary widely — a basic screen runs S$150–400, while comprehensive panels can reach S$2,500 or more depending on scope. GST applies on private medical services. If you are claiming through an Integrated Shield Plan, confirm pre-authorisation requirements with your insurer before the visit. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a written estimate itemising insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Is Raffles Medical Hillion Mall MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — this is verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licences have been confirmed in the current listing data for Raffles Medical Hillion Mall, so patients are advised to verify both the clinic licence and the named consulting doctor's SMC entry directly. For a GP practice, basic SMC registration is the primary credential. If the clinic offers specialist-adjacent services (e.g. minor surgery, dermatology, or chronic disease management), confirm the doctor's scope of practice. Confirm both the clinic licence and the individual doctor before booking — neither alone is sufficient.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Raffles Medical Hillion Mall?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs), layered on MediShield Life, generally cover inpatient stays and some day-surgery procedures at private hospitals, but outpatient GP consultations are typically paid out-of-pocket unless your plan includes an outpatient rider. Check your policy terms before assuming coverage. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment at GP clinics participating in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), with a withdrawal limit of up to S$700 per year covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and stroke. The standard outpatient MediSave limit is S$500 per year for non-CDMP items. Confirm with the clinic whether they are a CDMP-accredited provider and whether your specific condition qualifies. For any planned investigation or procedure, request a financial counselling session and a written estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions in writing before proceeding.
