About Raffles Medical i12 Katong

About Raffles Medical i12 Katong

Raffles Medical i12 Katong is a general practice clinic located at 112 East Coast Road, #04-18 i12 Katong, Singapore 428802, serving patients across the East Coast area and beyond. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channels. The Google rating stands at 3.2 out of 5 across 114 reviews — a robust sample that warrants attention; prospective patients should read recent reviews carefully before booking. No regulatory licence details have been provided in this listing, so patients are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration directly before attending.

For a first visit to a GP clinic, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times and operating hours. At consultation, the doctor will take a medical history, carry out a clinical examination, and — where relevant — arrange investigations such as blood tests, swabs, or referrals to a specialist. For chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or lipid disorders, the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year at accredited GP clinics. Patients with an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm whether the clinic is on their insurer's GP panel, as this affects co-payment and claim processing.

Just finished my SG Healthier Checkup and consultation at the i12 clinic—such a great experience! The doctor was professional, super kind, and gentle, making the cervical screening (speculum/brush) totally pain-free! A special compliment is due to the reception staff also a clinic assistant who was instrumental in my visit. Her experience, knowledge, and calm, composed demeanor were incredibly reassuring, and she provided excellent assistance to the doctor. I am extremely pleased with my choice of clinic. They transformed a potentially anxiety-loaded and jittery health screening into a smooth and pleasant journey.

Nowonder this clinic has a low rating of 3. Gave patients an appt timing but kept us waiting more than an hour. Heard another patients said she waited 1 and a half hours. My wife waited an hour. Unable to accommodate so many appt. Dun ask patients to pay for your inefficient time keeping. All our times are also pressure. Understand we do not expect to see doctor on the dot of appt time but to wait an hour or 1 n a half hours was too much to respect the clinic. Very inefficient management at this outlet. While I was typing this. Another patients whom had an appt an hour was informed she needs to wait for another hour. Very ridiculous.

First time here and waited for >30 mins for just the registration?! And there were only 3 patients in the clinic when I arrived. I don't understand how their operations are being done since they do have 2 receptionists in the clinic. I wouldn't be choosing this clinic ever again and hopefully, the company can take all the feedback into consideration and review their operations.

After her symptoms didn't improve, my daughter went to a second clinic. The doctor at the first clinic didn't even examine her throat, despite her complaint of a sore throat. Furthermore, the medical records from that visit were never uploaded to the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), which caused issues for the second doctor to retrieve the record. This was a very disappointing experience with a supposedly reputable clinic.

Though I found the waiting time slightly long, I later found out it’s because of the very good examination of the doctor. Also the nurse at the counter- she is brilliant! I went for health screening before and she is always patient, understanding and I really like her composure and orientation towards service. Please keep up the good work!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Raffles Medical i12 Katong charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit, though fees vary by complexity, duration, and any investigations ordered. Common add-ons include blood panels (S$60–200), swabs and rapid tests (S$20–80), and prescriptions billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For planned investigations or referrals, request a written estimate of the full costs — consultation, diagnostics, and any specialist referral letter — before proceeding. Patients with CDMP-eligible chronic conditions may withdraw up to S$700/year from MediSave at accredited GP clinics. Raffles Medical i12 Katong has not published a specific fee schedule in this listing, so confirm current rates by phone before attending. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is Raffles Medical i12 Katong MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg; search by the doctor's name to confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licence details have been submitted for this listing. Before attending, search for 'Raffles Medical i12 Katong' on the MOH licensee directory and confirm the name of the consulting doctor on the SMC register. Raffles Medical Group is a well-known healthcare operator in Singapore, but patients should always verify the specific premises licence and the individual clinician rather than relying on the group brand alone. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Raffles Medical i12 Katong?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient admissions subject to deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. For GP visits, most IP plans do not cover outpatient consultation directly unless the policy includes an outpatient rider — confirm your coverage with your insurer before attending. MediSave can be used for outpatient care under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits: S$500 per year for general outpatient conditions, and up to S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm whether Raffles Medical i12 Katong is an accredited CDMP clinic if you intend to use this withdrawal. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling breakdown that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost before committing — this avoids bill surprises after the fact.
