About Raffles Medical Jurong East

About Raffles Medical Jurong East

Raffles Medical Jurong East is a general practice clinic located at 131 Jurong Gateway Road, within the Jurong East town centre. It operates under the Raffles Medical Group network and serves patients across the western corridor of Singapore. The clinic holds a 3.8 out of 5 rating across 489 Google reviews — a robust sample that suggests a consistent, if mixed, patient experience. No regulatory licences are recorded in the current listing data, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed; patients are advised to verify details directly with the clinic.

A visit typically begins with a walk-in or phone enquiry to confirm waiting times, as GP clinics at this price tier generally accept both walk-ins and appointments. The clinic addresses common acute conditions — fever, respiratory infections, gastroenteritis, skin rashes, minor injuries — as well as chronic disease follow-up under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, and asthma, and allows MediSave 500 or 700 withdrawal for outpatient treatment. Patients holding an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm whether the clinic is a panel provider before attending, as this affects reimbursement eligibility. Referral letters to public hospital specialist outpatient clinics can be issued here for non-urgent conditions.

To book, call the clinic directly or submit an enquiry via the contact form on the listing to confirm availability and current waiting times before making the trip.

Regarding Service Conduct and Vaccine Appointment on 3 March at 10am Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding our visit to (Jurong East branch) on 3 March at 10am. Firstly, the service attitude of the counter staff was unacceptable. The staff (Indian lady, hair tied in a bun, not wearing spectacles) was not wearing her mask properly, with her nose exposed. When communicating with us, she remained seated and spoke unclearly, making it difficult for us to hear her. When we politely asked her to repeat herself, she responded with visible irritation and displayed an expression of disgust. Such behaviour is highly unprofessional and inappropriate, especially in a healthcare environment where patients and parents expect respect, patience, and courtesy. Secondly, we had booked the appointment online and called a week earlier to confirm the availability of the typhoid vaccine. We were assured that it was available. However, upon arriving at 10am on the appointment day, we were informed that the vaccine was not in stock. As working parents, we had to take leave to accompany our child for this appointment. Moreover, this occurred during the fasting month, which made the situation even more physically and emotionally taxing. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing to be informed only upon arrival that the vaccine is unavailable, despite prior confirmation. We were not offered any alternative solution and were simply told to return on another day. This reflects a serious lapse in operational planning and communication. If the vaccine was unavailable, the clinic should have informed patients in advance, especially when appointments are clearly scheduled. A simple call would have prevented unnecessary inconvenience, wasted time, and loss of annual leave. I strongly urge the management to review both staff conduct and appointment coordination processes to prevent such incidents from recurring. I look forward to your explanation and to seeing tangible improvements in service standards. Sincerely, Ms Wiah

Pre-employment medical check up What’s okay: - The in-consultation process was quite fast when assessed by doctor as they test on motion such as leg and neck movements on top of clarifying medical history. - height and weight, eye and blood pressure taking tests were smoothly done as well and the staff helping out was okay too What’s not okay: - poor attitude from front desk service (heard staff speaking loudly to customers and not acting professional) - mocking behind the back from staff when customers asked for directions - when asking for clarification or filling up documents, staff gave a judgy look and subtle rude remarks as if we owe them something Note: please look into the service attitude of staff. Being in the medical line is not easy feat, yes. But you are handling sick, vulnerable and elderly patients who need more tender care. This is clearly about basic respect and manners. We hope the management team will look into this.

I am writing this letter to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Teo S. Y. at the Jurong East branch. My family and I visited the clinic on October 25, 2025, and were attended to by Dr. Teo. Dr. Teo is remarkably professional, yet it is her exceptional personal warmth, care, and understanding that truly set her apart. She creates an environment where patients feel genuinely heard and valued. She is not only excellent in her medical practice but also demonstrates a high degree of empathy that is often missing in healthcare today. My family and I were extremely satisfied with the level of service she provided and felt compelled to write this compliment. We believe she is highly deserving of this commendation. We need more doctors like Dr. Teo who prioritize not only the patient's sickness but their overall well-being as well. Thank you for employing such a dedicated and outstanding professional.

My company has been sending me to raffles medical for my annual health checkup. Always been a pleasant and smooth experience. Never had any problems with that staff or instructions. I would like to thank Siti especially for her tender loving care. Hope to see people like her again for my next check up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Raffles Medical Jurong East charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with Raffles Medical Group positioned in the mid-to-upper range of that band. Common add-ons include investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urine tests, swabs, and X-rays (S$80–150), as well as prescription costs billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For chronic disease management under the CDMP, MediSave can be used to offset outpatient costs up to S$500 per year (or S$700 for eligible conditions). If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan, confirm with your insurer whether this clinic is a panel GP — some plans offer direct billing or higher reimbursement for panel providers. For any planned investigation or procedure, ask for a written cost estimate that splits insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Is Raffles Medical Jurong East MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are currently recorded in this listing for Raffles Medical Jurong East. That said, Raffles Medical Group is a publicly listed healthcare operator in Singapore and its clinics are expected to hold MOH Healthcare Services Licences under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor should also appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any specialist accreditation. Because neither the MOH licence nor SMC registration appear in the current listing data, patients are strongly encouraged to verify both directly before booking. Search the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register and the clinic's address on the MOH licensee directory. Neither confirmation alone is sufficient — both should be checked. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Raffles Medical Jurong East?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient stays subject to deductibles, co-insurance, and rider rules. For GP visits, reimbursement depends on whether the clinic is a panel provider under your specific IP — confirm this with your insurer before attending. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions, within the S$500 or S$700 annual withdrawal limit depending on the number of conditions. For any planned procedure or investigation, request a financial counselling session at the clinic. A written pre-treatment estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost should be provided before you commit. The Screen for Life programme also offers subsidised health screening at CHAS GP clinics for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs — check whether Raffles Medical Jurong East participates in this scheme if you are planning a screening visit. Skipping pre-authorisation and financial counselling for higher-cost procedures is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
