When I called again later, I was told it might take yet another 20 minutes—or even longer—despite the ambulance reportedly being in Hougang, which is in the same zone as mine, just minutes away. Hougang isn’t a large area, and Singapore’s transport infrastructure is efficient, so such a delay is difficult to justify, especially for an ambulance service. Eventually, after waiting a full hour with no arrival and increasingly vague updates, I had no choice but to cancel and book another ambulance service provider; they arrived promptly. When questioned, the staff claimed it was "not an emergency ambulance" and suggested I call 995 if immediate help was needed. If that’s the case, they should not advertise themselves as an "emergency ambulance" provider—it’s misleading and erodes trust. What’s more disappointing is the lack of honesty around arrival times. Customers rely on accurate information to make time-sensitive decisions. Giving false expectations wastes valuable time and creates unnecessary stress.
