For a typical GP visit, patients generally walk in or call ahead to check queue length. A first consultation covers presenting symptoms, basic examination, and where appropriate, a referral letter to a specialist or public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic. GPs can also support the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for long-term conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia, enabling MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500–700 per year for outpatient management. Patients intending to claim under an Integrated Shield Plan should confirm coverage and pre-authorisation requirements directly with their insurer before the visit.

Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Beginning of this year visited them and like them pretty much and hence, become my regular clinic when I’m sick. Clinic assistant is nice and able to chat. Doctor is friendly too. Straight to the point and answered my questions professionally. Not much of Q everytime I visited. Waiting time definitely less than 30 min wait. Conveniently located just right below red hill station. Not open every evening.
I recently experienced a severe eczema flare-up and visited the clinic in the morning. Although there were quite a number of patients waiting, the queue moved efficiently and the waiting time was reasonable. I especially appreciate the receptionist for thoughtfully calling me back when I briefly stepped out to get some food, as it was my turn for consultation. I was attended by Dr Ho Tet Khiun, who diagnosed my condition accurately, provided clear and helpful advice, and prescribed effective medication that relieved the discomfort very quickly. My eczema improved significantly and resolved within two days. I am very pleased with the excellent service provided by the staff and Dr Ho’s professionalism. The pricing was reasonable as well. Highly recommended.
Despite the bad reviews, I was pretty impressed. The wait is a bit long but I soon found out Dr Kee is quite detailed and nice in providing care. I have a simple setup though, I pay with credit card and claim separately through my insurance myself so no admin issues at all. The receptionists are both also very polite.
I reached the clinic in Redhill MRT station at 10.30am on 20 Dec 2025. Before I registered, I asked the staff what was the estimated waiting time, I was told 20 to 25 mins. After registration, I was given queue number 15. I asked how many patients were queuing before me, and I was told 7. Then, I looked at the screen, it showed number 8 as at 10.35am. I told the staff that I would be back 15 mins later. I got back to the clinic at 10.55am (20 mins later). I was very surprised to see the screen showed number 9. I approached the counter staff, "Now, is patient number 9?". The staff replied, "yes". I immediately cancelled my appointment. The staff must be trained to give a more realistic estimated waiting time for patients to make informed decision - to wait or visit another nearby clinic especially for patients who are feeling extremely unwell. I noticed the counter staff asked every patient the reason for visiting. Some patients require more attending time e.g. vaccination, medical examination. To allocate 3 mins for each patient is unrealistic and shows poor judgment.
dr jean is so efficient and nice. She listens and gets going. I love this clinic when she’s in. I have been here many times (unfortunately) due to multiple flu and other illnesses. BUT there was a guy doctor once who was extremely condescending when i asked for a referral to a specialist for women related problems. He should probably get out of health industry when he can’t be empathetic to patients.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60, with follow-up visits on the lower end. Common add-ons include blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, X-rays (S$80–150), and prescriptions — each billed separately from the consultation. GST applies on private medical services. Patients eligible under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) may pay reduced or subsidised rates at participating GP clinics for selected chronic and common conditions — confirm directly whether Redwood Clinic And Surgery participates in CHAS, MediSave CDMP, or the Screen for Life programme. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration details have been provided to KakiList for this listing. Every legitimate clinic premises should hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor should appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. Before booking, search the clinic name on the MOH directory and the consulting doctor's name on the SMC register independently. Neither alone is sufficient — both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry should be confirmed. Given that no licences have been submitted to this listing, this step is especially important.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions — up to S$500 per year (or S$700 for complex CDMP cases). Confirm whether the clinic is a CDMP-enrolled provider before your visit, as MediSave cannot be used for general GP consultations outside this programme. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient and day-surgery costs but provide limited cover for outpatient GP visits unless your rider specifically includes outpatient benefits. If you are being referred onward for specialist care or a procedure, request pre-authorisation from your IP insurer and a written financial counselling estimate before any planned treatment to avoid surprise bills.
