About ReLacto

About ReLacto

ReLacto is a confinement food catering service operating islandwide from its kitchen at 81 Tagore Lane, Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a 4.8-star rating across 362 Google reviews, a robust sample that gives reasonable confidence in the score. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) on a package basis, though exact package fees were not provided at the time of listing.

Mothers typically begin by enquiring about the 28-day standard package, confirming the number of trays per day — usually two (lunch and dinner) or three with breakfast added — and clarifying whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are included in the package price or billed separately. Before committing to a full package, it is worth asking whether ReLacto offers a trial meal or single-day option, as confinement appetite and personal taste are highly individual. Confirm the twice-daily delivery slots (typically 11 am–1 pm for lunch, 5 pm–7 pm for dinner), packaging type (BPA-free, microwave-safe), and what the substitute or refund policy is if a delivery is missed. Also check whether the menu rotates daily or repeats weekly, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who prefer low-spice or alcohol-free preparations.

Reach ReLacto via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on their listing to ask about current package availability, pricing, dietary tradition, and trial meal options before paying any deposit.

I had a really great experience with their meal service. The customer service was excellent — very prompt, responsive, and helpful whenever I had questions. As a new mum taking care of a newborn, the service was extremely convenient. It made it so much easier for me to have proper meals while focusing on breastfeeding and caring for my baby. I especially love the thermal flasks they use for the soup and drinks — they keep everything really hot when it arrives, which makes a big difference when you’re busy with a newborn and can’t eat immediately. Overall, a very thoughtful and reliable service. Definitely recommended for postpartum mums!

Chance upon ReLacto confinement delivery as I wanted to continue having healthy meals after my nanny completed my confinement. It is a double win since ReLacto provides lactation meals which i really need to boost my breastmilk. I really like how flexible they are in allowing us to postpone our meal for the whole package. As of date, I have received 2-days worth of meals and they doesnt disappoint! The portion of the carbs is quite big so would suggest an option for us to reduce the carbs if not its very wasteful to be thrown away! Cant wait for all the upcoming meals~

I ordered Relacto meal after my confinement as I’m breastfeeding. The lactation meals is tasty and nutritious without being too oily and salty. Very excited with the soup every meal. The drinks is abit too sweet, but it taste just nice by adding more water. The delivery uncle is very punctual daily as well!!! They send a msg to notified you that your meal is delivered. Their customer service is great, very responsive and can easily WhatsApp the team to make any changes / requests. Highly recommended for busy mums post confinement and still like to have something nutritious without the hassle of preparing food.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does ReLacto charge for a confinement food package?

ReLacto prices its packages in the mid-range ($$), though exact figures were not published at the time of this listing — contact them directly for a current quote. For context, 28-day confinement food packages in Singapore typically run S$1,200–2,800 depending on the number of trays per day, whether herbal soups and tonics are bundled in, and the dietary tradition followed. Shorter 7-day or 14-day trial packages are available from many caterers at proportionally lower cost, which is a useful way to assess quality before committing to the full 28 days. Ask whether there is a delivery surcharge for addresses that are further from the central region or for landed properties. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does ReLacto follow, and is there a trial meal?

Singapore confinement food traditions include Cantonese (the most common — warming herbal soups, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine), Hokkien, Teochew, Western-style postnatal, halal, and vegetarian. Contact ReLacto directly to confirm which tradition their kitchen follows, how frequently the menu rotates, and whether individual dishes can be adjusted — for example, omitting rice wine for breastfeeding mothers or reducing spice levels. Before paying any package deposit, ask whether a single-day trial meal is available. Most reputable caterers offer this at roughly S$30–60. Confinement appetite shifts day to day, and personal taste matters far more than menu marketing — a trial meal is the most reliable way to assess whether the food will suit you throughout recovery.

Is ReLacto licensed and how is food safety handled?

Legitimate confinement food caterers operating in Singapore hold an SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence, with a hygiene grade of A, B, C, or D — A being the highest. No regulatory licences were listed in ReLacto's KakiList profile at the time of publication, so it is worth asking them directly to confirm their SFA licence number and current hygiene grade before placing an order. Halal-certified providers also hold a MUIS certificate, which should appear on packaging. Confinement meals are cooked the same day and delivered hot in microwave-safe, BPA-free containers within a roughly four-hour window. Confirm the twice-daily delivery slots and the policy if a delivery is delayed or missed — a clear substitute or refund arrangement is a sign of a well-run operation. Order a trial meal and confirm the SFA hygiene grade (and MUIS halal certificate if relevant) before paying the package deposit.
