New patients typically begin with a first consultation, during which the practitioner conducts a tongue and pulse assessment alongside a health history review to establish a treatment direction. Depending on the presenting condition or goal — whether chronic pain, digestive issues, stress and fatigue, fertility support, or general wellbeing — sessions may involve acupuncture, herbal prescription, tui na, cupping, or moxibustion. You can enquire about session frequency, whether a course of treatment is recommended, and the cancellation policy before committing. Ren Ci TCM Clinic can be reached by phone or through the online contact form, and is conveniently situated steps from Farrer Park MRT Station.
To get started, call or submit an enquiry form to confirm current appointment availability, clarify the consultation fee, and ask about the practitioner's registration with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB).
Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
Helen is absolutely AMAZING! I walked in with pain in both arms and she knew exactly where the root of the pain was. Grateful to have found this place.
I came to this TCM clinic for persistent fatigue and stress. Dr. Li Dong conducted a thorough consultation and recommended a combination of acupuncture , Tui Na and herbal tea. After two weeks, my energy levels improved significantly. The clinic is clean, the staff is friendly, and Dr. Li Dong is very knowledgeable. I’ll definitely return!
Very friendly and helpful staff with fluent English. The doctor was thoughtful and thorough. I was seen right away and 15 min later picked up the herbs in pill form. Overal, i had a great experience.
Been a year with ren he tcm and i can say this clinic is the best for me. The doctors are very patient and kind. Ms sim, is very knowledgeable in TCM and she always nails the spot. Her strength for tuina is 👍💪! She even taught stretching exercises for me to feel better. You can find ms alice too! Thank you ren he tcm for the excellent service!
Firstly, the environment is quite and welcoming. The staffs are helpful in getting appointments done with quick response. My mum has been seeing Dr Li Dong for the past 1 year, who has a cool composure and helped to relieve her pain. Mum only wants to be seen by this same doctor. We have recommended some relatives and friends who are quite happy with the service. Keep the good work going. 👍

Ren Ci TCM Clinic is listed at a mid-range price point ($$), but specific per-session fees were not provided in the listing. In Singapore, TCM consultations typically run S$30–80 for an initial visit, with acupuncture or tui na sessions ranging from S$50–120 depending on the treatment and duration. Herbal prescriptions are billed separately and vary by formula and dispensing quantity. Confirm the first-consultation fee, whether follow-up sessions are priced differently, and whether package rates are available for recurring treatment. Ask about the no-show and late-cancellation policy before booking, as many clinics charge for missed appointments. See the full TCM cost guide for Singapore →
No GP referral is required to book a TCM consultation in Singapore. At the first visit, the practitioner will conduct a full intake assessment — tongue and pulse examination, health history, and a discussion of your presenting symptoms or goals — before recommending a treatment plan. Bringing any recent blood test results or specialist reports is helpful if your condition is complex or chronic. A GP referral does matter if you intend to claim under an integrated shield plan or employer insurance, as some insurers require a referral letter for TCM reimbursement. Check your policy terms before the appointment. Patients with certain contraindications — such as pregnancy, bleeding disorders, or anticoagulant medication — should disclose these at the assessment so the practitioner can adjust the approach.
In Singapore, all practising TCM physicians must be registered with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB), which is the statutory body under the Ministry of Health. Registration is mandatory under the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act and covers acupuncturists and TCM physicians separately. You can verify a practitioner's registration on the TCMPB public register at moh.gov.sg before booking. Ren Ci TCM Clinic did not list specific regulatory licences in this directory entry, so it is advisable to confirm the treating practitioner's TCMPB registration number directly with the clinic. No ACRA registration was recorded for this listing at the time of publication. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the TCMPB public register before treatment.
