Families and students typically begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the school covers MOE, IB, IGCSE or other curricula — and the specific language or communication subject required. It is worth asking whether classes are offered in small groups or as one-to-one sessions, as this affects both learning outcomes and cost. Many providers in this category offer a trial class before any term commitment is required, which is a sensible way to assess teaching style, class pacing and whether the level is appropriate. Lessons may be conducted in-person at the Anson Road centre or via online arrangements; confirm which formats are available for your preferred schedule.
To take the next step, reach out to School of Language and Communication via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on their profile. Have your child's current level, school, and any specific syllabus or exam targets ready so the school can recommend the most suitable class and arrange a trial session.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Fantastic lessons. Teachers are all very supportive and experienced. We are encouraged to have open discussions and share opinions freely. Really recommend this language school and hope this would be your first journey when move to Singapore.
I highly recommend this school. Teachers are kind and polite and have high teaching skill. They provide their unique lessons, and I can learn a lot of expressions, culture, news and trivia. Furthermore, I made some friends from other countries easily. Thanks to Japanese staff, the procedure went smoothly.
Highly recommend! I’ve been taking classes with Clarin, and she is amazing—very humorous and her pronunciation is super clear and standard. The class atmosphere is wonderful, and everyone is so friendly. The staff are also very kind and professional.
I have experienced many very special and beneficial lessons at the school, the teachers are experienced and friendly, the classmates are close, the student care service is very thoughtful, the tuition fee is reasonable, suitable for all students. Especially my teacher Chantal is very cute, enthusiastic and helpful to students, has a very proper demeanor. The principal Jennifer is very friendly, sincere and listens to students.
My favorite English class and my favorite teacher! I can not only learn English but also make new friends here! Teacher Sam is both passionate and intelligent, learning with his is really an impressive experience!

School of Language and Communication has not published specific per-session fees on its listing, so you will need to enquire directly for current rates. In Singapore's tuition and enrichment market, language and communication classes typically range from S$40–S$120 per session depending on whether the format is group or one-to-one, the tutor's experience, and the level taught. Monthly packages or term-based fees are common and often work out to a lower effective per-session rate than pay-as-you-go arrangements. Ask about any registration or enrolment fee, costs for materials or workbooks, and whether a trial class is charged at the standard rate or offered at a reduced fee. Some providers offer sibling discounts or bundle savings for multiple subjects. See the full tuition centre cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition and enrichment centres in Singapore offer a trial class, either free or at a nominal fee, before requiring a term or monthly commitment. It is worth asking School of Language and Communication directly whether this is available and what the cost is, if any. A trial class gives you the chance to assess several things at once: whether the content level matches your child's current ability, whether the teaching style suits the way your child learns, and whether the class size feels right. Pay attention to how the tutor handles questions and whether your child leaves feeling engaged rather than overwhelmed. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can sit in on a session or speak with the tutor before signing up for a full term.
Credential details for the teaching staff at School of Language and Communication are not publicly listed at this time. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether tutors hold a relevant degree in languages, linguistics, communications or education, and whether any have NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience. For language-focused instruction, also ask whether the syllabus aligns with the specific examination board your child is preparing for — MOE O-Level, A-Level, IB, IGCSE, or others — as alignment between the tutor's expertise and the target curriculum makes a meaningful difference to outcomes. If the school has multiple tutors, ask which tutor will be assigned to your child's class and request a brief profile before committing to a term.
