About Shan Food

Shan Food is a verified domestic help provider in Singapore specialising in Confinement Food. Services offered include Confinement Food. They provide islandwide coverage across Singapore. Rated 4.4/5 based on 21 Google reviews.

The bulk of Shan Food's bookings cover Confinement Food. Because this is a focused domestic help operation, most jobs are scoped over WhatsApp first — photos of the issue, property type, and preferred slot — before a price is quoted.

Shan Food covers all of Singapore, which is useful if you live in a less-central estate or need a provider that can follow a recurring job to different addresses. The business is KakiList-verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channel. Google reviewers currently give Shan Food a solid average of 4.4/5 across 21 reviews, which is a reasonable signal of consistency for a domestic help provider.

The practical way to decide on Shan Food is to message them directly with a short job description, property type, and any relevant photos. Direct contact means no platform middleman and usually a faster response than form-based lead submissions.

How much does Shan Food charge?

Typical confinement food jobs in Singapore start from S$1,200 (28 days). Shan Food quotes on a job-by-job basis, so the final figure will depend on scope, property type, urgency, and whether materials are included.

Before booking, ask whether the quote includes: (1) materials and consumables, (2) transport and parking fees, (3) GST, and (4) any minimum call-out charge. Getting these four line items in writing (WhatsApp is fine) is the easiest way to compare Shan Food against other providers fairly.

  • Verified by KakiList
We cross-check listed businesses against Singapore's official ACRA registry before marking them as verified.
  • 4.4/5 from 21 Google reviews
Google reviews are harder to fake than testimonials on a provider's own website because each reviewer has an auditable Google account.
  • 📍
    Operating islandwide
A provider listing specific coverage zones is more credible than a vague "all of Singapore" claim, because it implies real scheduling and logistics.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Shan confinement meals, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The meals were not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients. Each dish was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced for recovery. It’s clear that a lot of attention and care went into crafting the menu to meet nutritional needs during confinement. The portions were generous, and everything arrived warm and fresh, it even stayed warm because it was packed in thermals! The variety of options also kept things interesting throughout the week, and I appreciated how easy the service made the whole process. Overall, I highly recommend this catering service for anyone looking for nutritious, tasty meals during their confinement period!

First time ordering from Shan Confinement, I have just ended my 28 days dual confinement food, I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed by their different cuisine such as Chinese Traditional, Western, Japanese, Korean, Thai! The variety of dishes was amazing and I never got bored of the meals, also the portion was huge is good for 2. (I’m always looking forward to the dessert, as other confinement company does not provide dessert). What's even better is that all the dishes were cooked using the healthy methods, and it’s also customisable. The food was delicious, and I could really taste the quality of the ingredients used. I can say that you pay for what you get. I highly recommend Shan Confinement! Thank you!💕

I had high hopes with Shan due to their premium prices and interesting menu. Also, they have “group buy “ which include free diapers and first month treats. However I’m utterly disappointed by the quality of the products and services. 1. Food is mediocre. TCM curated menu? They give you super salty food. Not sure what’s the point of the gold flakes on every dessert. Not sure how those western, jap, Thai food TCM inspired. Change menu anytime because they “run out of ingredients”. Soup and mains are not in sync. I never know what soup I’m drinking. 2. Free gift? Diapers never come. Worse? They tell you they put on your door step. When I report theft to police, police looked through cctv and never see anyone bringing carton box (of diapers) into the lift. Waste police’s time with their lies. 3. But they keep telling you they will send you the diapers. “Still chasing for it”. Yeah, chase until i have to chase after my baby for diaper changing already diapers still not here. Customer service MIA. Group chat admin MIA. 4. Food delivery timing is irregular. Sometimes 3pm sometimes 6pm. Sometimes, never come. Oh we don’t operate on public holidays. 4. For the premium price you gonna pay, thinking you will get fancy nice menu and dessert everyday, forget it. It’s the same watery jelly almost every other day. They just put the cold dessert with the hot dishes. 5. Have I mentioned about hygiene? The kettle never washed before. Look at the mould. They ask you to rinse the container, I’m not sure if they will wash again. I encountered a worm and some hair in their dishes too. After a few days, I don’t look forward to my confinement meals anymore and don’t bother to take photos. What a terrible experience.

I purchased their 28days package via group buy and was promised of free diaper, bird nest and full month box. However, the diaper never came and even though I had sent them multiple messages, there was no reply at all. Bird nest given was of low quality ( don’t even think is bird nest) and definitely not worth the $488 that they mentioned in the promotion. The cake in full month box delivered was all crushed and seemed like the box was toppled. No apology from them. Is a scam so beware. Food wise, the portion was very little especially if the dish is fish. there was one occasion I received only dish containing 2 eggs, and another dish of veggies and one soup that’s all. No meat at all! We pay so much and we need to breastfeed. The cai peng stall at the coffeeshop can even do better! Also, right after my csect surgery, they gave me Sheng Hua tang which can lead to bleeding if consumed too early. I messaged them regarding this and they messaged me back with a lot of excuses. I feel like they do not care about the health of the mothers who just delivered.

Food is great and comes in a thermal bag and insulated containers to keep it warm. There is also a good variety. My wife enjoyed it a lot. Chat is responsive and delivery is punctual.
