About Shangri-Paw

About Shangri-Paw

Shangri-Paw is a pet boarding service based at 587 Geylang Road, Singapore, and is listed as KakiList-verified. It holds a Google rating of 5 out of 5 across 114 reviews, a robust sample that lends meaningful weight to the score. The service is priced in the mid-range bracket and is available islandwide.

When enquiring about a boarding stay, it helps to have your pet's size, breed, and temperament to hand, as these factors typically influence placement and pricing. Shangri-Paw will likely ask for up-to-date vaccination records before confirming a booking, so gathering those documents early is advisable. If your pet has not boarded before, ask whether a trial visit or short overnight stay is available to gauge how your animal settles in a new environment. Also confirm whether drop-off and collection arrangements are fixed or flexible, and whether recurring bookings can be secured in advance for regular travellers.

To get started, reach out to Shangri-Paw via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form with your pet's details, preferred dates, and vaccination history. This gives the team what they need to confirm availability and discuss the most suitable boarding arrangement for your animal.

This was our third stay at Shangri Paw, this time with all three of our cats in our favorite Luxe suite. As always, the team took such wonderful care of them — brushing, cuddling, and playing with them every day. It’s so clear that the staff truly love cats and go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and happy. During this stay, one of our cats had a pre-existing medical condition that unfortunately flared up. Kerstin, the owner, immediately stepped in — she personally arranged and brought our cat to the vet, ensured the necessary tests were done, and coordinated everything with such professionalism and care. She and her team administered the medication and subcutaneous fluids daily, and we could see how capable and gentle they were throughout the process. We also really appreciate the regular updates and photos on WhatsApp, as well as the CCTV access which lets us peek in anytime we miss them. The place itself is immaculately clean and beautifully designed for cats, with clever “catification” features — high platforms for adventurous climbers and cozy cubby nooks for the shy ones to curl up in safely. I highly recommend Shangri Paw to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving place to board their cats. We’ve stayed here many times before, but this was the first time we had to deal with an urgent medical situation — and Kerstin and her team handled it with such dedication and reliability. I trusted her 100% to make the right calls for our cat, and she kept us fully updated through calls, voice notes, and messages, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Shangri Paw may be a little pricier, but this is exactly what you’re paying for: a truly caring, professional, and reliable team who treats every cat like their own.

Kerstin and her staff are exceptional - they have taken very good care of Hershey, an older street rescue with medical issues. At Shangri-Paw, she has changed from stressed and needing daily syringe-feeding into a calmn and affectionate cat who enjoys lots of chin scatches! This is thanks to the quiet environment and first-rate, hands-on care that the staff have showered on Hershey. They've even given Hershey her own private buffet every night because she was initially picky about her food... The rooms at Shangri-Paw are some of the best I've seen anywhere. They very kindly put Hershey in a room with a street view so she could feel closer to her natural environment. Each resident has her own space and plenty of room, and the facility is spotlessly clean. 10/10!

Our first time boarding our two girls with Shangri-Paw was an incredible experience! From our very first visit to tour the space, the team was amazing, friendly, and truly put our minds at ease. They provided consistent daily updates, which we loved. Both girls settled in remarkably fast and seemed to genuinely enjoy their stay. The biggest surprise? They actually let the staff brush them—something they usually resist at home! It’s clear the team here has a special touch. If you’re looking for a boarding place where your pets are treated like family, I highly recommend Shangri-Paw. We’ll definitely be back!

It was our first time boarding our cats, and for two weeks too, so there was definitely some anxiety on our end. After visiting a few facilities, we chose Shangri-Paw for its spacious yet cozy environment. Throughout the stay, Kerstin and her team, Kaye, Josephine, Alissa, and Steph, sent us daily photos and videos, which gave us great peace of mind knowing our cats were well taken care of. What really stood out was their attentiveness when one of our cats had blood in her urine. Kerstin promptly gave advice and even brought her to the nearest vet for a check-up. We genuinely appreciated the care shown. Thank you to the entire team for taking such good care of our cats. We would not hesitate to board them here again.

Our cats had a wonderful stay at Shangripaw! It is immediately clear that this place is run by genuine cat lovers. They don’t just treat it as a job or a responsibility; they truly prioritize what is best for the cats' well-being. I was impressed when my cat had a bout of food poisoning right before boarding. The team went above and beyond, sending me regular "poop updates" to keep me informed and at ease. The rooms are very spacious and kept very clean with daily maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Shangri-Paw charge?

Shangri-Paw is priced in the mid-range bracket, though specific nightly or per-visit rates are not publicly listed — contact them directly for a quote. In Singapore, pet boarding typically runs from around S$30–S$60 per night for small dogs and cats, rising to S$60–S$120 or more for larger breeds or private-suite arrangements. Additional charges to clarify include breed or size surcharges, add-on services such as grooming, teeth cleaning, or nail trimming during the stay, and any transport or collection fees if applicable. Always confirm the full breakdown in writing before drop-off. See the full pet boarding cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Shangri-Paw require?

Most boarding facilities in Singapore require dogs to be current on core vaccinations, typically the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza) and, where applicable, rabies. Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccination is also commonly required for boarding and daycare settings given the proximity of animals. For cats, the FVRCP vaccine (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia) is the standard requirement. Vaccinations are generally expected to have been administered within the past 12 months. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a veterinary certificate at drop-off. Contact Shangri-Paw directly to confirm their exact vaccination policy before your booking.

Is Shangri-Paw licensed and insured?

Pet boarding facilities in Singapore are required to hold a licence issued by the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) under the National Parks Board. This licence governs the conditions under which animals may be housed, including space, hygiene, and care standards. Shangri-Paw does not currently list an AVS licence in its public profile — confirm directly with the provider that a valid licence is held and displayed at the premises before leaving your pet in their care. Also ask about the protocol if your pet becomes unwell or is injured during the stay, including whether the facility carries insurance to cover veterinary costs or liability. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
