A visit to a GP clinic typically begins with booking via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form, particularly if you wish to reduce waiting time. At the consultation, the doctor will assess your presenting complaint, order investigations such as blood tests, urine analysis, or referral imaging where indicated, and issue a prescription or referral letter to a specialist or polyclinic if the condition warrants it. For chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and lipid disorders, a GP registered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) can extend MediSave withdrawal limits for outpatient treatment. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan, confirm whether the clinic is a panel provider under your insurer for any claimable outpatient benefits.
To make an appointment or check same-day slot availability, contact Silver Cross Family Clinic (Yishun) directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on this page.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Jonathan Tan I’d a very friendly and experienced doctor. All of us in our family have been under his care ever since we moved to Yishun. His range of expertise is is across many areas. Whoever is under is care is surely safe.
These is my 2nd time visiting this clinic-03 Mar 26. I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Silver Cross Clinic was infuriating. I reached home and noticed that the official receipt was issued in one line instead of being itemized. Part of my medical expenses is covered by insurance, and we need to file a claim for the balance. I already informed the staff, but they seemed unsure how to assist me. It is common sense that two separate receipts should be issued. When I called to enquire, the staff kept saying they couldn’t do anything and that the manager would call me back before 4:00 pm but they never call back. However, before I could even ask for her name, she had already hung up. I believe is the malay staff. As during that time have one Chinese Lady, one India Lady and one Malay Lady. I told myself that I will never visit Silver Cross Medical again. I still remember my first visit to the clinic many years ago, and the experience made me feel like I could be the doctor there myself. I had already noticed that the reception staff and nurses were rude and unfriendly. There will definitely be no next time.
I had an excellent experience at this clinic. The staff were very understanding, friendly, and professional, making me feel comfortable from start to finish. The doctor was also very good and polite, taking the time to explain everything clearly and showing genuine care. Overall, the service was outstanding, and I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism. Highly recommended!

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically range from S$25 to S$60 per visit, with follow-up visits sometimes lower. On top of the consultation fee, expect separate charges for investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine tests S$15–40, X-ray S$80–150), prescriptions, and any procedures performed during the visit. GST applies to private medical services. If you are a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, presenting at the clinic under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) or with a chronic condition managed under CDMP may reduce your out-of-pocket cost. Integrated Shield Plan holders should check whether Silver Cross Family Clinic is a panel provider for outpatient claims. Contact the clinic directly for their current fee schedule. Every legitimate clinic operating in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must also be registered on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licences have been provided in the current listing data for Silver Cross Family Clinic (Yishun). Patients are strongly advised to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration before booking. Neither alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year per Medisave account. General outpatient withdrawals outside CDMP are limited to S$500 per year. Confirm whether the clinic is registered for CDMP before your visit if you intend to use MediSave for chronic disease management. If you hold an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life, outpatient specialist coverage and day-surgery benefits are subject to your plan's deductible, co-insurance, and rider terms. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session and an itemised pre-treatment estimate from the clinic that clearly splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket cost. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill. For CHAS cardholders, subsidies apply at enrolled GP and dental clinics — check whether Silver Cross Family Clinic (Yishun) is a CHAS-enrolled clinic via the MOH CHAS clinic locator.
