I visited the clinic for a normal cough and paid $141.00!! Medicine issued were typical pill for phlegm & runny nose and cough syrup. I requested for a receipt and the cough syrup was $90. What magical syrup was this? So I went back to clarify, it was their mistake and charged an $11 cough syrup for $90. No apology was given and they became arrogant saying I shouldn't even be given a breakdown of receipt in the first place. They took a looooong time to calculate how much to refund. Still no apology. Oh well.

It's expensive and a complete waste of time. The doctor was very unprofessional. Tried to explain my air hunger to him and he imitated my actions saying he was feeling the same too. (???) In the end I have to ask if he was alright. Didn't give a proper explanation/ diagnosis before dismissing me.

This is the worst medical experience I have received so far. This is especially address to the male doctor who is on duty on 12th Feb 2014, afternoon. 1) Doctor's attitude is poor 2) Underestimate the seriousness of illness (chicken pox) 3) Ineffective medication and make mandatory medication OPTIONAL to patient If you need medical consultation, please DO NOT visit Silver Cross Family Clinic located at 262 Serangoon Central Dr, Singapore 550262

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Originally intended to go to Q&M next door but it was full and saw this clinic was empty. Made the mistake of going to this clinic instead. There's a reason why it's empty.

Is Silver Cross Medical (Serangoon Central) MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration has been confirmed in this listing for Silver Cross Medical (Serangoon Central). Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and any specialist accreditation. Patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic licence on the MOH directory and the consulting doctor's SMC entry before attending. Neither the clinic premises licence nor the doctor's individual registration alone is sufficient — both are required for a lawfully operating medical practice in Singapore. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Silver Cross Medical (Serangoon Central)?

MediSave can be used for selected outpatient treatments at participating GP clinics under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient chronic disease management, S$700 per year for conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which includes hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, stroke, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm with the clinic whether it is CDMP-enrolled and which conditions it manages under the programme. Integrated Shield Plan (IP) holders should check whether Silver Cross Medical is a panel GP under their insurer, as panel status affects co-payment rates for specialist referrals and planned procedures. For any planned investigation or referral, request a written breakdown splitting insurance coverage, MediSave deductions, and out-of-pocket cost before proceeding. The clinic has not confirmed specific insurance panel participation in this listing — contact them directly to verify.
