I recently went for minor surgery to remove a cyst. A day before the surgery, nurse Vijay called to remind me of the dos and dont's. She was so kind and reassuring. On the day of the surgery, naturally I was nervous. Nurses, Zubaidah and Fong were by my side, comforting me, encouraging me and assured me that the doc is experienced and very gentle. True to what they said, the doc though young, was gentle and kept updating me every step of the way. The anesthetic injection was extremely painful, but the encouragement given by the doc made it bearable. Thank you all for taking care of me with heart ❤️

My mum's appointment at 2:40pm room 2. 5:30pm still havent see doctor. Btw my first appt was 1:30pm and was at SGH since 1pm. Terrible. Talked to the nurse at 3.40pm, was told 4 patients before my mum's turn. 4:30pm, i approached the nurse again, she said there are 4 more patients before my mum's turn when i saw a few patients went in. DR ISABELLE PLS AVOID HER. Bad time management

Our 1st visit to the ENT Centre at SGH was quite a breeze. The only thing to note is that Car Park H behind block 5 is a 15 minutes walk to the ENT centre at Blk 3. The walkway is all covered but it is on a slope so not suitable for older patients. Drop them off at the Blk 2/3 drop-off point 1st then you go park. Our appt was at 14:40. Although the sign on the consult room warns patients of long wait, we were attended to quite promptly. The counter staff explained the costs and insurance or Medisave claims clearly, and we were asked to go to the Hearing Centre to do a hearing test then drop off the results into a box outside the consult room. We were called to see the doctor within 5-10 mins after dropping off the form. From registration to waiting outside consult room to going for hearing test then back to consult doctor, we spent only 1 hour at most. For a public hospital, I think this is pretty world class already. Perhaps afternoon slots have fewer people, or our case wasn't complex. Kudos to the people working there 👏
