About Singapore Sailing Federation
Singapore Sailing Federation is a sport and swimming school listed under Education on KakiList, operating islandwide from its base at 1500 East Coast Parkway. The provider has been verified by KakiList, confirming that operating details and contact information have been reviewed by a real person. Pricing is indicated at the S$$ level, though specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly.
Prospective students or parents should begin by enquiring about level and programme fit — whether the course is aimed at beginners, intermediate, or advanced sailors, and how it aligns with the learner's age and goals. It is worth asking about group versus individual instruction, the structure of each session, term commitment expectations, and whether any trial sessions are available. As the centre is based at East Coast Parkway, consider travel logistics and whether sessions are conducted on the water in all weather conditions. For younger children, ask about the minimum age for participation and the instructor-to-student ratio.
To take the next step, reach out to Singapore Sailing Federation via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current programme availability, session schedules, and fees before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Brought my kids here for the Wingfoiling taster session. Our coaches Edwina and Aziz were extremely nice people. They were patient and took time to explain the how, when, why and what to do. They are excellent communicators with kids and adults. Time was well utilised, from a quick introductory briefing and spent most time on practicals. The sport looks pretty straightforward but when broken down, it takes practice to familiarise with the skill. Looking forward to attend more sea sports courses!
We completed the Opti- Junior, then the Opti-Sailor over 2 years, during the December school holidays. The centre seems unloved (this was 2022-2023). Please pack food if you’re having a full day course. There is on site parking (fees apply) or free parking a short walk away. For those who take the public transport - there’s a chartered bus for NSC staff - which we may hitch a ride with, subject to availability. Pick up in the morning at 830am from the bus stop (near the mailbox) across Bedok Mall. Pick up in the evening at 6pm from NSC to Bedok MRT / mall. It’s a huge, grey colour bus with a small sign that reads “NSC” on the front window.
The worst! Money minded people who just took the joy out of sailing for my son, who was excited and sincere. Never go. . would give minus 100 if I could
We nearby having Birthday glamping & BBQ instead of sailing, very windy all days is a nice place & good experience we enjoy so much.

Singapore Sailing Federation displays a S$$ pricing tier, but specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed. Sport and sailing programmes in Singapore typically range from S$50 to S$200 per session depending on whether instruction is group-based or individual, the duration of each session, and the level of the course. Monthly or term packages are common and often work out more cost-effective than paying per session. Additional costs to clarify upfront may include equipment hire or usage fees, safety gear, and any materials required for theory components. Sibling or multi-booking discounts may be available. Contact Singapore Sailing Federation directly for a current fee schedule before enrolling. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Whether a trial session is available at Singapore Sailing Federation is not confirmed in the current listing, so it is worth asking directly when you enquire. Many sport and activity schools in Singapore offer a single trial session at a reduced rate or the standard per-session fee before requiring a term commitment. When assessing a trial class, look at how well the instructor explains technique, whether the pace and difficulty level suit the learner, and how engaged participants are throughout. For sailing in particular, observe whether safety briefings are thorough and whether the instructor-to-student ratio feels appropriate on the water. If a formal trial is not available, ask whether you can observe a live session before enrolling, which is a reasonable request for any activity-based programme.
Specific instructor credentials are not detailed in the current listing. For sailing instruction, relevant qualifications to look for include World Sailing or Royal Yachting Association (RYA) instructor certifications, Singapore Sailing Federation coaching accreditations, and any national-level competitive or coaching experience. It is reasonable to ask whether instructors hold current first-aid or water safety certifications, as these are particularly important for on-water activities. Experience working with the relevant age group — whether children, youths, or adults — is also worth confirming. If this information is not readily available on the provider's website, ask directly when you make your enquiry. A reputable programme should be willing to share instructor qualifications before you commit.
