✔️**Review of SingHealth Polyclinic Tampines branch. 1 Tampines Street 41, Singapore 529203 I would like to share my experience from yesterday (January 14, 2026) when I took my wife to the Tampines Polyclinic around 4:30 PM. Upon our arrival, the staff member at the registration counter informed us that they had already closed registration for doctor consultations at 4 PM. Regrettably, this meant we could not see the doctor, and we were advised to return the following day to register. The staff member kindly offered to assist with making an advance appointment for us, but we opted not to take that route. The reason for our visit was my wife's sick and have this chronic illness; she has Type 1 diabetes and requires insulin. She had previously consulted a doctor on January 13, 2026, who prescribed a 50 mg antibiotic. After taking two doses, spaced 12 hours apart, her blood glucose level dropped according to her Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), the Dexcom, which she wears on her left arm to track her glucose levels throughout the day. This drop in her blood glucose caused us significant concern, and we decided to go to the emergency room, the same day itself which was still staffed. We explained the situation to the senior staff nurse, who informed us that no doctor was available at that moment, likely because they were off duty. After some time, the emergency room senior staff nurse successfully contacted another doctor which she is still available to address my wife's condition. During the consultation, the doctor made adjustments to her antibiotic prescription (now 1g). My wife cautioned the doctor that she preferred to start the medication the following morning to avoid any potential interference with her insulin regimen during the night, which could pose a serious risk to her health. On January 15, 2026, the next morning, my wife followed the new prescription diligently, taking her antibiotics at 12-hour intervals. By the following day, January 16, and 17, 2026, she was feeling much better after starting the antibiotics. I monitored her condition throughout the day and observed that her blood glucose levels had stabilized. **Conclusion:** We would like to express our gratitude to senior staff nurse Khairani Wardah and Doctor Sulaihai Binte Ithnin for their prompt and attentive care. They played a crucial role in addressing my wife's immediate medical needs, especially considering her blood glucose was dipping dangerously after consuming a pack of Ribena (250g). Both of them displayed professionalism and genuine concern for my wife's well-being during a challenging time. We are sincerely thankful for their assistance. Thank you both for your support! I made my appointment the night before for 10:50 AM and arrived early at 10:30 AM (my appointment said there are 8 patients before me) It’s now 12 PM there still are 3 patients before me. I don’t understand the point of taking an appointment if the waiting time ends up being this long. This isn’t a specialist clinic, yet Dr Loh York King spends around 20–30 minutes with each patient and even takes an additional 5–10 minutes between calling patients. The scheduling clearly isn’t managed properly, and patients who come on time shouldn’t be left waiting for over an hour 🥲

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Tampines Polyclinic. Google shows the closing time as 4:30pm, yet we were turned away before then. The nurse on duty told us that the last registration was at 4:00pm, but instead of explaining it properly, they raised their voice at us. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where patients are already unwell and stressed. What made it worse was that the staff did not even attempt to check with their management if approval could be given for my friend to be seen, despite the fact that she has been sick and needed medical attention. They simply dismissed us and ask us to went a GP doctor nearby but In healthcare, compassion and responsibility should come first, and at the very least, the staff could have escalated the matter instead of shouting and turning us away. Please terminate this kind of staffs. They don’t have the suitability of working in healthcare. Such behavior reflects a serious lack of professionalism and is not suitable for anyone working in patient care. I urge management to take this seriously and review the conduct of the staff involved. Patients deserve respect, proper communication, and effort to be helped — not to be shouted at and rejected.

Dr Milton was clear, attentive and took his time to explain things to me. Registration and consultation were smooth but everything after was a disaster. The pharmacy moves at a glacial pace. They are beyond slow and so rude to the people they're serving. It really hurts to see.
