About "SkateDragons"
SkateDragons is a sports school operating islandwide from its Somerset Road location, offering skating instruction under the Education category. The school holds KakiList verified status, and its 4.3-star rating across 173 Google reviews represents a robust sample that gives reasonable confidence in the quality of the experience it delivers. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level, though specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
Families and individuals looking to enrol should begin by enquiring about the appropriate level for the student's current ability and age group, and whether the programme aligns with any particular syllabus or progression framework. SkateDragons operates islandwide, so it is worth clarifying which sessions are held at the Somerset Road venue and whether any off-site rink locations are used. Prospective students should ask whether classes are conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, what the term commitment looks like, and whether a trial class is available before signing up for a full package.
The most direct next step is to reach out to SkateDragons via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to ask about current class schedules, available levels, and trial class options at the Somerset Road rink before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Excellent and clean tidy and sporty place to skate safely without the danger of road traffic and accidently injuring the spectating crowds and the skater. Cosy and comfy relaxing yet exciting way to skate in the mid of busy Orchard Road. Rejuvenating and healthy way to release the abundant excess energy of the youths and the young in hearts. Nice and thrilling alternative to relief anxiety distress agitation and hollow indulgences.
its a really nice and spacious skatepark . good for beginners . learnt how to drop in here and made friends :)
Used to be a really fun park to skate, but the recent competition redesign made it a lot worse. No more flat rail, no long ledge/curb/manual pad, ~70% of the park is virtually unused at any given moment, because the new features just aren't great and people don't enjoy skating them. Unfortunate.
Merston, has been attending Skatedragon lessons every weekend since November 2024, and it has been an amazing journey for him. Not only has he improved his skating skills, but he has also gained discipline, independence, and confidence. The coaches are fantastic—patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to helping each child grow. Merston also loves attending Skatedragon’s holiday camps, where he gets to enjoy a variety of outdoor and team activities. These camps have helped him develop valuable social skills and build great friendships. Thanks Teams 🐉 Dragon.

SkateDragons has not published a specific per-session rate, so the exact fee will need to be confirmed directly with the school. In the Singapore market, skating and sports enrichment classes are typically priced on a per-session basis, as part of a monthly package, or as a term commitment — and the rate often varies depending on whether the class is group-based or one-to-one. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available at a reduced or standalone rate, whether materials or equipment hire are included, and if any sibling or multi-class discounts apply. Some schools also charge a registration or admin fee on first enrolment. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
SkateDragons has not publicly stated its trial class policy, so it is advisable to ask directly when you make an enquiry. Many skating schools in Singapore do offer a trial session, sometimes at full price and sometimes at a reduced introductory rate, to allow students and parents to assess the fit before signing up for a term. During a trial, look out for how the instructor engages with students of different ability levels, whether the class pace feels appropriate for your child, and how well the group size allows for individual attention. These factors matter as much as the technical content, particularly for younger or first-time skaters. If a trial is available, it is worth attending even if you feel fairly confident about the programme — seeing the teaching style in action is the most reliable way to assess fit.
SkateDragons has not published specific instructor credentials in the information available, so it is recommended that you ask directly about the qualifications and experience of the coaches who will be teaching your class. Relevant things to ask include how many years the instructor has been teaching, whether they hold any nationally or internationally recognised skating certifications, and how long they have been with the school. For sports enrichment programmes in Singapore, there is no single mandatory qualification framework, but instructors with competitive skating backgrounds or accreditations from skating bodies tend to bring more structured progression to their teaching. Asking whether the programme follows a recognised skills framework — and what advancement or grading looks like — can also help you gauge the quality of the curriculum.
