Yes, so Im another unfortunate patient to drop by SKH A&E for an my eye infection and was referred to SNEC, as I was told that they do not have any eye specialists at A&E. Charged me private rate, as they considered me as walk in patient. I even have to wait for the nurses there to check and see if any doctors is willing to attend to me before they proceed on to register me as a private patient. So im so lucky that one doctor was willing to take me. Yet, basically throughout the consultation process, I do not have much chance to speak to the doctor at all. Is a like production factory, you come and you go, trying to clear the production line goods for the day, since the Doctor has so many patients to attend to. Charged me private rate yet treat me like a normal subsidised rate patient. Was on steroid amd antibiotoc drop but no close appt date was scheduled to follow up closely to see if my eye is reacting well to the medications. So I called SNEC after experiencing discomfort but was told that doctor will be going on leave until end of the year and I can only see him in February next year! Why was I not even informed of that during my last consultation with him? Was advised to walk in again, and see if any other Doctors are available to see me. Even after seeing another Doctor, he refused to follow up with me, said I'm not really his patient so is only right that I follow up with my primary doctor. Totally unacceptable, I decided to see a private specialist right away. And all my eye issued settled within 2 weeks, instead of the full 2 months of steroid and antibiotic drops as instructed by SNEC earlier. Regretted starting this unfortunate journey, painful and stressful rounte with them. On a flip side, Im very thankful to the SNEC call centre officers, who were really helpful and tried their best in assisting me in following up with the clinic, squeezing in any possible appointment dates for me.
Thoroughly impressed by the level of care, professionalism, and efficiency displayed by the staff at SKH SNEC. Senior Consultant Dr. Zainah attended to me with utmost professionalism and gentleness. Her extensive experience was evident in the way she took the time to explain my conditions and the process in a manner that was easy to understand. Her patient-centric approach made me feel comfortable and well-informed about my health situation. The admin staff, Shen Xueqi, deserves a special mention. Despite my oversight of leaving my referral letter from my GP at home, Shen Xueqi methodically guided me through the steps I needed to take to scan the copy I had at home and mail it to her, ensuring a seamless experience for me. Nurse Stephanie Koh was also instrumental in processing the referral letter from my GP to SNEC, SKH, enabling me to enjoy subsidised rates. What sets SNEC SKH apart from other SNEC clinics I have visited is their efficiency. At other clinics, I usually had to waste half or three-quarters of the day waiting indefinitely. However, at SNEC, SKH, everything was done in less than 2 hours. The clinic provided clear directions and instructions, and the premises were impeccably clean. The staff were fantastic, and the services were affordably priced without compromising on quality. This level of efficiency and organization, coupled with their commitment to patient care, makes SNEC, SKH. a standout choice for anyone seeking quality eye care. My experience at SNEC, SKH, was nothing short of excellent.
I recently underwent a complicated eye surgery at SNEC Singapore General Hospital and had a great experience. The eye care examination was very thorough, the equipment is state of the art, and the issues were explained to me clearly by the team. The surgery team was gentle, courteous, positive and the surgeon was really competent, skilled and re-assuring. The procedure was efficient and wasn't too uncomfortable even though I was under local anesthesia. I was relaxed throughout, and didn't need painkillers. I recovered well enough to return home the next day. I would give 100 stars! Well done and keep up the good work.
Specially want to say a big thank you to this lady by the name of Elene Lee. My mom went for her eye check this morning and we couldn’t get hold of her as she left home early morning and was out of reach till noon. I called up the clinic and Elene picked up the phone, she went extra miles by trying to help me find my mom (she called up the clinic at level 8) this kind of nurse is rare nowadays. She has the love for patience and not afraid of hard work.
Had an eye infection, got some medication from private GP. The medication doesn’t seem to work. Eyes get more red and swollen. Adviced by SNEC punggol branch to walk in to A&E to get referred to SNEC, else the I will be charged as private patient. And Punggol branch informed they don’t accept walk-in.(-.-“). I am puzzled, SNEC isn’t is a public sector? Why still charge walk-in patients for private charges? Any way I Walk-in to A&E to see doctor, hope to get referred to an eye specialist. The kind doctor told me to get lunch first because he needs to convince the specialist to see me… (-.-“). End of the day, no specialist seen me, only normal A&E doc work as middle person to past the info to the specialist. I was not referred to the specialist and I was informed to continue with current medication… So I have to pay up the A&E fees and not getting any new medication for my condition. I was also informed to pay a visit if next few days my condition has not improved. After I left SNEC, I was assigned an appointment date which is 2 weeks near to 3 weeks later. And FYI, if you were to visit SNEC before your appointment date, they will still charge you as private patient. $163 consultation fee, exclude medication. I didn't anticipate that doctors would need to be persuaded to see a patient who arrives seeking treatment. After few days, my condition did not improve and gets even worst. So I went to a private specialist to seek treatment. End up with new medication and my condition improved with in next two days. And the fees is even affordable than paying a visit to A&E or walking in to any SNEC.
