About State Swim

About State Swim

State Swim is a swimming and aquatic education provider offering holiday camps across Singapore, operating from its Suntec City centre. The listing has been verified by KakiList, and State Swim is registered with ACRA. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$) though specific per-session fees were not provided at the time of listing.

Families typically begin by enquiring about the appropriate level for their child — whether a complete beginner, a water-confident swimmer building technique, or a child looking to progress through structured stroke development. Holiday camps are generally offered in blocks aligned with school holiday periods, so it is worth confirming which intake fits your child's current term schedule and ability level. Group sizes and the swimmer-to-instructor ratio are worth asking about directly, as these affect how much individual feedback a child receives during each session. State Swim operates from Suntec City, accessible via the City Hall or Promenade MRT stations, so factor in travel time when choosing a camp slot.

To secure a place, contact State Swim via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to check availability for the upcoming holiday period and confirm your child's level placement before the camp fills.

Came to suntec a hundred times prior and never knew there’s a swimming pool on top. The entrance is very difficult to find almost make this a speak easy swimming pool ;) Joking aside, the program is well structured and priced well. Have multiple time slot for the same class. The initial assessment class is free. Was impressed with how the coach can get kids to be engaged instantly. Definitely want to start class here and give myself excuse to go eat shake shack after ;)

Nice outdoor swimming pool at Suntec, but the place is better off for bigger kids as they do not really have family friendly shower facilities. It can also be too hot and the sun can be too strong for infants/babies during day time hours. The instructors are friendly and nice though!

Since joining State Swim 18 months ago our kids have shown tremendous growth. They look forward to lessons every week. The instructors truly care and are invested in each student’s improvement.

Truly an effective and flexible swim school in Singapore . My daughter is trained under various teachers at various levels. At each level, the school provides different achievable milestones. That’s very motivating !

A pleasant school to send beginning learners. Coaches are friendly. Timely feedback to learners, as well as parents helped my child progress at her comfortable pace.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does State Swim charge per session?

State Swim's pricing is listed in the mid-range ($$), but specific per-session or per-camp-block fees were not published at the time of this listing. Holiday camp fees in Singapore typically vary depending on the number of sessions in the block, the swimmer's age group, and whether the camp is half-day or full-day in format. It is common for providers to charge a materials or swim cap fee alongside the camp tuition, and some camps include a registration or enrolment fee for new participants. Contact State Swim directly via WhatsApp or phone to get a current price sheet for the upcoming holiday period before committing. See the full Holiday Camps cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Trial or assessment sessions are worth asking about directly, as policies vary between swim schools. Some providers offer a single make-up or introductory session at a reduced rate so that parents and children can gauge the teaching style and pace before booking a full camp block. For holiday camps specifically, the short-form nature of the programme means a trial may not always be available, but a level assessment — either in-water or via a brief questionnaire — is standard practice to ensure your child is placed in the right group. When attending any introductory or assessment session, observe whether the instructor provides individual feedback, how the group size affects instruction time, and whether the learning pace feels appropriate for your child's current confidence in the water.

What are the instructors' credentials at State Swim?

Swim instructors in Singapore are commonly certified through the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) or hold internationally recognised qualifications such as the AUSTSWIM Teaching Swimming and Water Safety certificate, which is the primary qualification used by State Swim's parent programme. It is worth asking State Swim directly which certifications their camp instructors hold and how many years of teaching experience each has. For children who are non-swimmers or at an early stage of water familiarisation, the instructor's experience with young or anxious swimmers is particularly relevant. Ask State Swim directly about the qualifications of the specific instructors assigned to your child's age group and camp level.
