Families and individuals looking to enrol should begin by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm level and syllabus fit — whether that is learn-to-swim for young children, stroke refinement for older swimmers, or adult beginner classes. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in groups or on a one-to-one basis, as this affects the pace of progression and the fee structure. Prospective students should also clarify the term commitment, the schedule of classes available at or near Suntec City, and whether any classes are offered at other islandwide locations. Asking about the coach-to-swimmer ratio and the pool environment (indoor, outdoor, depth) is advisable before committing.
To get started, contact State Swim Singapore directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current availability, confirm which programme suits your swimmer's level, and enquire about a trial class before committing to a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the coach's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Came to suntec a hundred times prior and never knew there’s a swimming pool on top. The entrance is very difficult to find almost make this a speak easy swimming pool ;) Joking aside, the program is well structured and priced well. Have multiple time slot for the same class. The initial assessment class is free. Was impressed with how the coach can get kids to be engaged instantly. Definitely want to start class here and give myself excuse to go eat shake shack after ;)
Nice outdoor swimming pool at Suntec, but the place is better off for bigger kids as they do not really have family friendly shower facilities. It can also be too hot and the sun can be too strong for infants/babies during day time hours. The instructors are friendly and nice though!
Since joining State Swim 18 months ago our kids have shown tremendous growth. They look forward to lessons every week. The instructors truly care and are invested in each student’s improvement.
Truly an effective and flexible swim school in Singapore . My daughter is trained under various teachers at various levels. At each level, the school provides different achievable milestones. That’s very motivating !
A pleasant school to send beginning learners. Coaches are friendly. Timely feedback to learners, as well as parents helped my child progress at her comfortable pace.

State Swim Singapore has not published specific pricing on this listing, so exact per-session, monthly package, or term fees should be confirmed directly with the school. As a general reference, swimming classes in Singapore typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session for group classes, with one-to-one coaching commanding a higher rate. Many schools bundle sessions into monthly or term-based packages, which can reduce the effective per-session cost. It is worth asking about a trial class fee, whether materials or pool entry are included, and whether sibling or multi-term discounts apply. Some schools charge a registration or admin fee at enrolment. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many swimming schools in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced rate, so that prospective students and parents can assess fit before signing up for a full term. During a trial, it is worth observing whether the level of instruction matches the swimmer's current ability, how the coach engages with students, and whether the class pace and group size feel appropriate. For younger children, a trial also helps gauge comfort in the water and responsiveness to the coach's style. Ask State Swim Singapore directly whether a trial is available, what it costs, and whether the fee is credited towards the first term if you proceed with enrolment.
Specific coach credentials are not listed in the available provider data. For a swimming school, relevant qualifications to ask about include Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) coaching accreditation, AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia certification, or other recognised national or international coaching licences. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with the relevant age group or stroke programme are also worth confirming. If you are enrolling a child with specific developmental needs or a competitive swimmer looking to refine technique, it is especially important to ask about the assigned coach's background. Contact State Swim Singapore directly to request this information before committing to a term.
