When enquiring about a holiday camp at STEP Studio, start by confirming which programme suits your child's age group and current level, and whether it aligns with any specific syllabus or enrichment goal you have in mind. Camps typically run in school holiday periods, so availability fills quickly — ask about group size, the facilitator-to-child ratio, and whether the format is activity-based, skills-focused, or a blend of both. Clarify what materials or equipment are included in the camp fee, and whether a trial or taster session is available before committing to a full block. Parents with children who have learning differences should ask directly about any SEN accommodations.
To get started, contact STEP Studio via phone or the enquiry form on their listing to check upcoming holiday camp schedules and secure your child's place before the cohort fills.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
If you're an absolute beginner in dance, are trying to find a studio to start at with a good wholesome dance community, here's the place to go! I've been dancing here for nearly 2 years and I'm so grateful for everything I've experienced here. The instructors here are always patient and kind to break down the steps especially those that can be challenging for beginners. They are really encouraging as well especially whenever we're all so nervous when we have to take videos. And I'm grateful to the friends I made here too where we grow and inspire each other. Thank you STEP studio!
I’m so grateful for STEP Studio! I started out just attending open classes not long ago and never imagined I’d one day be part of their 11th-year anniversary recital, The Last Letter. As a foreigner, I was honestly nervous at first but STEP made me feel so seen, encouraged, and supported. It’s such a safe space where everyone is welcomed with warmth and respect. The choreographers and community here truly care about your growth. STEP isn’t just a dance studio — it’s a family that helps you grow not only as a dancer but also as a person. 🫶 Kudos to the owners, Step & Deo! 🙏
A safe space, a very welcoming and encouraging environment that welcomes dancers of all levels of experience, from different sorts of background, and from all walks of life to come together and move. For those who are just starting out, I would say this studio is the best place to take your baby steps in dance! Dance classes are affordable and come in a range of styles offered to suit different interests - from Street Jazz, to Contemporary to Open Choreography. Training programmes are available for dancers who want to train regularly and perform for events. All three studios are well-equipped with good sound system and flooring and provide a conducive environment for dancers to dance comfortably. Conveniently located near Mountbatten MRT and some bus stops.
My first time at Step Studio today, really enjoyed myself – the instructor was really warm and patient and I had lots of fun. Would def recommend!
A very welcoming dance studio!! Good amenities and talented instructors but not intimidating at all, just warm friendly vibes (great culture led by Mama Step). Love the street jazz intro and intermediate courses I've taken, and of course the open classes too (shoutot to instructor Bokki)!! I've gained so much more than technical skills. Also I've honestly cried sitting outside the studio watching students in other classes dancing HAHAHA lots of emotions seeing how people from different walks of life come together for the same passion; I would be really keen to try out contemporary and hip-hop in the future too if opportunity allows!! Short walk from Mountbatten MRT~

STEP Studio does not publish a specific per-session rate publicly, but pricing is indicated as moderate ($$). Holiday camp fees in Singapore typically vary depending on the programme duration, materials included, and group size — short two- to three-day camps generally run S$150–350, while week-long programmes can range from S$350 to S$700 or more. Before booking, confirm whether the quoted fee covers all materials, whether there is a registration charge, and whether sibling or early-bird discounts apply. Some providers charge a separate materials or resource fee on top of the camp fee. See the full holiday camps cost guide for Singapore →
Holiday camps at STEP Studio are typically structured as block programmes rather than drop-in sessions, so a standalone trial class may not always be available. It is worth asking directly whether a taster session or partial-day option exists for first-time participants before committing to a full camp. When assessing fit, look at whether the programme level matches your child's current ability, whether the group size allows for individual attention, and whether the facilitator's teaching style is engaging for your child's learning preferences. Visiting the premises at 231 Mountbatten Road ahead of booking can also give you a sense of the environment.
Specific facilitator credentials were not listed in the available provider data. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the lead facilitator's educational background, years of experience running camps or enrichment programmes for the relevant age group, and any relevant certifications or training. For holiday camps with an academic focus, ask whether facilitators have MOE teaching experience or relevant subject expertise. For activity- or arts-based camps, ask about professional industry experience. STEP Studio can be reached by phone or through the enquiry form to confirm these details directly.
