About Strokearts

About Strokearts

Strokearts is an education provider offering holiday camps, operating islandwide from its centre at Upper Serangoon Road, The Midtown Residences. The listing has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person confirmed the operating details and contact channel. It holds a 5/5 rating across 20 Google reviews — a borderline sample size, so treat this as encouraging but not conclusive.

When enquiring about a holiday camp, it is worth confirming which age group or level the programme is designed for, whether the content aligns with your child's current abilities or interests, and whether the format is a small group or larger cohort. Holiday camps typically run in fixed blocks tied to school breaks, so check the exact dates, session length, and whether there is a minimum attendance requirement. Ask about what materials or equipment are included in the fee and whether any items need to be brought from home. It is also sensible to ask about the instructor's background and experience running programmes for the relevant age group.

To take the next step, reach out to Strokearts via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm upcoming camp dates, group sizes, and whether a trial or taster session is available before committing to a full block.

Strokearts is a fabulous place to learn any art you desire to learn. I'm an adult currently learning Madhubani art and Lippon art from Shivali, and it has been a wonderful experience. Shivali is an excellent teacher - patient, knowledgeable and truly passionate about the art forms. I really appreciate how also she shares the background and history behind each art, which makes the learning even more meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone interested in any art form .

My 13yo child had a fantastic experience with the holiday art program! The 8-hr acrylic painting session on an A1 canvas was incredibly fun and inspiring. It was wonderful to see my child fully engaged, exploring colours, textures and techniques with confidence. The instructor was patient and encouraging, creating a supportive space for creativity to flourish. Our child came home proud of her artwork and excited to paint more - highly recommend this program for budding young artists!

I thoroughly enjoyed doing my koi fish madhubani painting under Shivali’s guidance. From the time we discussed what to draw and how to draw, Shivali was really open to my ideas and that’s motivated me to get this right to perfection. She lets the student share what they want before telling them what to do. I enjoyed every bit of color in my painting and was so satisfied to bring it to life. The little details to the color combinations, the chit chats we had, it was a fulfilling experience. Many more to go!!!

Shivali Mathur is a wonderful artist and art educator. Her knowledge of her subject is wide and deep. I have been to many of her art workshops and she has never failed to make it memorable for me. Would recommend her workshops and regular art courses to anyone who wants to enhance their skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Strokearts charge per session?

Strokearts lists its pricing in the mid-range tier ($$), but specific per-session or per-camp fees are not publicly displayed. Holiday camp pricing in Singapore typically varies based on the number of days, session length, and any materials included in the programme. Some providers charge a flat camp fee covering the full block, while others offer an individual-day or package rate. It is worth asking whether the quoted price includes all materials and consumables, whether there are sibling or early-bird discounts, and whether a deposit is required to secure a place. See the full Holiday Camps cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Holiday camps are usually structured as fixed-block programmes tied to school holiday periods, so a traditional trial class may not always be offered. However, it is reasonable to ask Strokearts whether a taster session or single-day option is available before committing to a full camp block. When assessing fit, consider the group size, the pace of the programme, and how the instructor engages with participants at your child's level. If a trial is not available, ask to speak with a parent whose child has attended previously, or review the camp schedule in detail to gauge whether the content and structure suit your child's interests and experience.

What are the instructor's credentials?

Specific instructor qualifications for Strokearts are not listed publicly. When enquiring, it is worth asking about the lead instructor's educational background, years of experience running holiday programmes, and any relevant certifications or training in the subject area covered by the camp. For holiday camps in particular, experience working with children of the relevant age group, classroom or facilitation training, and familiarity with MOE school syllabus content (where applicable) are useful indicators of quality. If this information is not readily provided, ask directly before booking.
