I had the pleasure of working with Jacelyn on my home design, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. She is a professional, responsive, and pleasant designer who made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. After a few rounds of discussions, she perfectly understood my vision and preferences. It was with trepidation when we first embarked on our search for an ID to renovate our existing home. We have had a bad experience in our previous renovation and had to live with the consequences of bad design choices for 10 years. Jacelyn was assigned to us. What a pleasure it was for us to have worked with her for the last 6 months. We never thought talking through design concepts , selection of materials would be a fun experience but it was, to our delight. Jacelyn made things easy for us. She listened. She paid attention to our concerns and our pet peeves, our likes and dislikes. She then executed her design to a tee. It was really amazing to watch the 3D version of the design coming to life. No detail was left out though some modifications were made when we ran into issues. To say this was a trouble free renovation would be untrue. There were challenges along the way. However, we were able to journey through them with her. She remained available to us though she had some personal challenges herself. We appreciated her responsiveness and diligence. Items after items of our check list of rectification works were tirelessly worked through and delivered. We are grateful for such tenacity. So the trepidation felt at the start was changed to hearts filled with thankfulness for the journey we had taken with Summerhaus. Thank you!

It’s time for my new place to start renovation. Having past bad experience. Extra thoughts are on my mind. Summerhauz Design came past me through a magazine and decide to give a try. Arrange an appointment for consultation. For my home project, I am assign by Larry to his ID designer Jenno and Pat. My impression of Jenno was excellent, he ask me and my wife the theme and concept we wanted and provide us with 3 different 3D design to select from. Every meetings were fruitful and the part which I am very impressed was the response from him almost immediate. For Pat, she was the one always communicating with the contractors and executing the design with accuracy. I feel so lucky to get new place well design by both of them. Now my home is completed. Thank you Jenno and Pat for designing, executing and on behalf of receiving my delivery as well. Wish you both and your company well success in the future and provide every of your customers a place which they love design by Summerhauz Design!

Walked in to enquire about their design services. The designer Jenno was very patient and friendly throughout. He had vast knowledge and experience. Jenno explained clearly about the whole timeline and work process needed for my design requirements. Unfortunately for me, the timeline was too rush and I did not go for a complete makeover with them. Still, it was a great experience speaking to them, learnt quite a lot too!

Engaged Jacelyn Chiang last year to renovate our small brand new condo. After reno, there was a dent in marble shower area even though the toilets did not require any work done. The cleaner scratched my 2 brand new toilet bowls. There were many fine scratches inside the toilet bowls. The fluted panels did not come with abs. We had to face her curt n unfriendly carpenter to ask them to rectify. They touched up the so-called abs but it reeks of poor workmanship. Husband got to talk nicely to the dominant carpenter. Wr have to stoop so low in front of her carpenters. It was truly a humiliating experience. Before reno she say her carpenters are good. Halfway into Reno, she say sometimes good sometimes not so depending on workers. Wallpaper peeling but it was rectified. The carpenter talk to us in a condescending way because ID is not in control of the situation. Few months after reno completion I discovered dark spot on ceiling. She n her painter came n agreed that it was mould. I asked if something is wrong with the ceiling she said no. I got painting company to come n see as now there are around 20 spots in the bedrooms n living rooms after 9 months. I was told it’s rusty screws. I sent pictures to ask another ID n was told it’s rust pain. It’s unethical to lie about rust pain because it involves different treatment from mould. I exchanged angry words with her but she denied n say she n her painter didn’t know. She was supposed to arrange her painter to come down again but she messaged me last week to say her father pass away. Then she text me again to say she will be back next week. After back then arrange again. She said I shouldn’t accuse her of being dishonest about the screw, on not painting sealer n anti mould when she already told painter. To spend hours exchanging angry sms at the wake and will need 11 days to attend to wake matters in JB make me realise that she may be “playing” games with me. To curse yr own family is bringing deceit to the next unthinkable level. I had to call and look for painter n partition people to come n quote. Still need one n half days to do rectification works. Was told likely no sealer was done (even contract stated to use sealer n anti mould paint) . Even if I repaint the whole ceiling, with sealer, in 2 yrs time other rust screw stain may appear. Was told likely cheap/ inferior screw were used. Again, Jacelyn denied and say her workers use stainless steel screws. Today I met with ceiling people n it’s confined it’s rust stain For all the stress/time/mental anguish she caused me, she was not regretful. Instead she still tried to get back at me by pretending to arrange for rectifications when there is no intent to do so. It was a most unhappy experience and I have to waste so much time rectifying the defects and exchanging angry sms with her. Also the stains may come back again. If any of the above I say is false, may I be cursed with bad karma.
