Super happy experience with Yen today, he’s really the most patient and professional coach. My first try on wakesurf today, failed many times and could not stand up...but I made it eventually! Thanks so much for Yen’s patient instruction. Look forward to next class which could make my posture more natural and correct and surf longer! I really enjoyed today!

Went for my 1st wakesurf session few days ago. So Glad that I took up the session with my instructor Yen. He is very patient and gives very precise tips to coach first timers. He is also very approachable and friendly, we enjoyed the session and had loads of fun! Throughout the session , he provides a lot of assurance and guidance. Yen comes across as someone who is very passionate with wakesurfing and that inspires me to want to continue learning this water sports. Thank you Yen!

I'm very new to wakesurfing and did my first session with Yen today. Had an absolute blast and managed to know when to throw the rope, finding the sweet spot. Yen gives very good instructions. The boat is very nice with big size wake. Comfortable, huge and has lots or room! And I got to chill with beer on the deck. If you want to wakesurf, look no further and do book your time with Yen!

3 of us made tremendous progress with Yen during our 3-hr session - 2 managed to get rid of the rope and I managed to start carving. I had sessions with 6 diff coaches in SG and Yen is absolutely the best - very clear and effective instructions, professional, patient, friendly and very big waves from the well-maintained boat. Would give him 12/10 :) Many thanks and look forward to surfing with you again !

It’s my first time doing wake surfing and Yen had been nothing but patient with us. Super encouraging, gives clear instructions and utterly patient. The place that he brought us to had calmer sea, it’s clean and surprisingly not really salty and not scorching hot. Overall a very pleasant experience and will definitely recommend him to my friends and family!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Surf N Wake charge per session?

Surf N Wake displays pricing at the S$$ tier, but specific per-session, monthly package, or term fee figures are not publicly listed. For sports and swimming schools in Singapore, group sessions typically range from S$30–80 per session depending on class size, duration, and the provider's facility costs, while one-to-one coaching commands a higher rate. There may also be a separate materials or equipment charge, and some providers charge a one-time registration fee. It is worth asking whether a sibling discount or multi-class package applies, and whether a trial or introductory session is priced differently from a full-term commitment. Contact Surf N Wake directly for a current fee schedule. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many swimming and sports schools in Singapore offer an introductory or trial session before a term commitment is required, though policies vary — some charge a nominal fee for the trial, while others apply it against the first term's fees if you proceed. When attending a trial, observe whether the class size is manageable, whether the coach adjusts instruction to individual ability levels, and whether the pace and content feel appropriate for the swimmer. It is also a good opportunity to assess safety supervision in and around the water. Contact Surf N Wake directly to confirm whether a trial session is available and what it costs.

What are the coaches' credentials at Surf N Wake?

Specific coach credentials for Surf N Wake are not listed in the available provider data. For swimming instruction, relevant qualifications in Singapore include the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) coaching certification, AUSTSWIM, or equivalent internationally recognised awards. For water sports, look for discipline-specific certifications from governing bodies such as the Singapore Canoe Federation or Singapore Sailing Federation depending on the activity. It is reasonable to ask directly about the lead coach's certification, years of teaching experience, and whether coaches hold a valid Singapore lifesaving award or equivalent water safety qualification. Confirming this before committing to a term is advisable.
