I visited Clinic 1A with a referral from A&E on 11/12/25. I am deeply thankful to have been cared for by a team of thoughtful and dedicated doctors who went the extra mile to ensure I experienced minimal pain and discomfort while managing my shingles infection, which was further complicated by a severe allergy to antiviral medications and creams that caused significant eye swelling and redness. Dr Seah Wei Hing, who attended to me, was exceptionally careful and gentle during each eye examination. He consistently sought input from his senior colleagues, including Dr Alex Lau, to thoroughly assess my condition. This level of care and teamwork gave me great reassurance and made me truly glad that I chose the TTSH route for my treatment this time.

Wasting my 9 hours at TTSH from 6:30am to 3pm! I went to A&E at 6:30 a.m. because of an eye problem. Waited till 7.00am before an ED doctor came and do a basic eye test and then referred me to the Eye Clinic, telling me to wait in the A&E area first since the clinic only opens at 8am. Received the bill and I had to pay $163 for the emergency fee! At around 8:15am, the A&E nurse simply pointed me in the direction of the Eye Clinic and told me to go there myself to register as a walk-in patient and pass me a note stating i was referred by A&E. I had to find my way and eventually reached the Eye Centre. When I asked the counter staff if the Eye Clinic was the same as the Eye Centre, she said yes, so I registered there. After waiting about 10 minutes, the same staff member called me over and told me that I should actually go directly to Clinic 1A. At 8:30am, I found Clinic 1A and asked the Malay staff at the registration kiosk if I needed to re-register. She rudely told me to “sit down and wait for your number or name being called.” From there, the long waiting process began — verifying my details, doing the eye test in Room 16, and then repeating seeing the doctor till 12noon. Went for a short lunch as advised by the pharmacy staff and returned collecting my medication. I only managed to leave at 3pm. Another thing i feel uncomfortable is the Clinic 1A registration kiosk staff were extremely rude to patients, especially to the elderly people who had difficulty seeing or responding quickly, which i feel they should improve their customer service better.

Rushed to A&E on a Sunday night 9 Nov 2025 with searing eye pain and it did take 3 - 4 hours to get attended to. The wait at the clinic the following day with tests and doctors' examination took 5 hours and follow up visits including pharmacy ( i had cornea cuts and infection ) are 4 - 5 hours. HOWEVER, the doctors here clearly took time to examine each patient carefully and order tests or check in with colleagues. I felt that the level of medical care is worldclass and that there is a good logical system in place for a ward that is plainly overflowing with unwell eye patients. Grateful thanks to Dr Joan Sim who slept less than 5 hours for sure who dealt carefully with the late night A&E and next day early morning examination. Also grateful to Dr Alex Lau for his clear explanations and care tips. On the way to recovering my sight. Hopefully in another week. San 14 Nov 2025

Great service. Short waiting time. Our appointment was at 8:30 am (brought forward by two months) and from start to finish the process was smooth flowing. Upon arrival we received assistance with the queue ticket and directed to the registration counter. There, we were informed of the fees and the rooms we have to go to for our visual acuity eye tests, etc. At the waiting area, we could help ourselves to coffee, Milo and water. Unfortunately, only water was available that day as the beverages were not replenished. Payment was seamless and followup appointment was made at the same location. It would have been a 5-star rating if not for their hotline system below. The only gripe is the hotline number +65 6357 7000. It is actually a 2-step process where you call in, a "telephone operator" answers the call and take down your name. Your query is only looked into when the hotline staff returns your call. A letdown when you are told that you are first in the queue and after waiting in anticipation, you found out that you have to wait for them to call you back. Urgh!

Staff are all so friendly. Been to many hospitals and TTSH always makes it feel LESS DAUNTING than it should be. Saw a Dr Amir...GREAT young physician! Kudos to the TEAM.
