The clinic has been verified by KakiList and holds a 4.7/5 rating across 42 Google reviews, a moderate sample that lends reasonable confidence to that score. Very kind and compassionate clinic. My helper will come here for the 6 monthly foreign domestic check up, the price is reasonable, fast and they are very helpful. I messed up with the wrong forms and they get everything sorted for me. A side note I don’t stay near here and my helper friend is the one that recommend her here and since then we follow Tay for years.

Dr. Tay provides thoughtful and cost-effective care. He avoids unnecessary treatments and if available opts for non-branded medications that are just as effective but significantly more affordable. I regularly visit him for common ailments like coughs and colds, and my expenses are about half of what I’d typically pay at larger medical chains. While the waiting time can be longer, other than FDW health checks that contribute to the longer waiting time it’s because Dr. Tay takes the time to thoroughly attend to each patient and personally dispenses the medication.

My family has been seeing Dr Tay as he is very professional and patient. Just earlier this week, my daughter had a fall and injured her elbow. We thought it might just be a sprain. Upon seeing her condition, Dr Tay told us that we had to go to A&E immediately (and true enough, she sustained a serious fracture). Before we left, he helped put a sling for my daughter and didn't charge us anything. A few days later, I went to see him for my sore throat. Despite him having so many patients, he remembered my daughter's condition immediately and asked me how she was the first thing he saw me. Dr Tay is caring as always. Thank you Dr Tay!

Dr. Tay is exceptionally kind and patient. He takes the time to explain the problem clearly, ensuring I fully understand my condition and the recommended treatment. His thoughtful approach made me feel comfortable and confident in the care I received.

One of the best GPs I have ever visited. Went to see Dr Tay for bad cough and sore throat. Dr Tay is friendly, accommodative and fees are in my opinion much more reasonable than other clinics. Dispensed pills for me on the spot with clearly labeled instructions for dosage. By the time I got home and took it, I could definitely feel better. Highly recommend to pay a visit if you are not feeling well.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Tay Family Clinic Serangoon Avenue 3 charge?

GP consultation fees at private family clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with after-hours or weekend surcharges of S$10–25 on top. Investigations billed separately include blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests (S$15–40), throat or nasal swabs (S$20–50), and X-rays where on-site (S$80–150). Prescriptions are charged at cost plus a dispensing mark-up. GST applies on private medical services. Is Tay Family Clinic Serangoon Avenue 3 MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or Singapore Medical Council (SMC) registration is recorded in this listing, which is a gap prospective patients should resolve before booking. Every legitimate clinic is required to hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must appear on the SMC public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person, and it holds a 4.7/5 rating across 42 Google reviews — a moderate sample. Neither signal substitutes for confirming the MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC entry. Contact the clinic directly and ask for both the clinic licence number and the consulting doctor's SMC registration number before attending.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Tay Family Clinic Serangoon Avenue 3?

MediSave can be used at approved GP clinics for outpatient chronic-disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), covering conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions, up to S$700 per year. Standard acute GP consultations are generally not MediSave-claimable at the outpatient level unless they fall under an approved CDMP condition on the same visit. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-approved provider before attending if you intend to use MediSave. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover inpatient and day-surgery admissions rather than routine GP visits, though some riders include GP or specialist consultation benefits — check your policy schedule. For any referral to a specialist or planned procedure arising from this clinic, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving provider that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding.
