About Telok Blangah Clinic
Telok Blangah Clinic is a general practice clinic located at 9 Telok Blangah Crescent, serving residents in the Telok Blangah and surrounding areas. KakiList has verified the clinic's operating details and contact channel. The clinic holds a 3.5/5 rating across 86 Google reviews — a moderate sample size, though the below-average score warrants attention before booking. No regulatory licences are currently listed on this profile, and ACRA registration has not been confirmed, which limits the trust signals available to prospective patients.
For a first visit, patients typically arrive as a walk-in or call ahead to check queue length or appointment availability. A GP consultation covers presenting complaints, clinical examination, prescriptions, and referrals to polyclinics or specialist outpatient clinics where indicated. Patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) — covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia — may be able to draw on MediSave for eligible outpatient treatments. For planned investigations such as blood panels or X-rays, ask the doctor for an itemised breakdown so you understand what is billed through MediShield Life, MediSave, or out-of-pocket. Integrated Shield Plan holders should confirm whether the clinic is on their insurer's panel before attending.
Contact Telok Blangah Clinic by phone to check current operating hours, queue availability, and whether your chronic condition is covered under CDMP before your visit.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I’ll be honest, this clinic can have a long wait, and that did worry me at first. But once you know that going in and plan around it, it’s actually not a bad experience at all. The trick is to book online or in person in advance, and while waiting there are plenty of shops around and a really good hawker centre nearby, so I’d usually just grab food or walk around instead of sitting there feeling stressed. I first came in because of this really persistent health issue and ended up needing to come back a few times for follow-ups. Over those visits, I’ve seen both the female and male doctors, and they were all consistently kind, patient, and thorough. I never felt rushed, and I never felt stupid or dismissed for asking questions, which I’ve experienced at other clinics before. I was also a bit nervous coming here because of some of the negative reviews, but none of those reflected my experience at all. Compared to other clinics I’ve been to, the care here felt much more genuine and considered. Yes, you might wait a bit longer, but the quality of the consultation makes it worth it. If you value being properly listened to, this clinic is a really solid choice.
I had a really positive experience at this clinic. The GP was attentive, thorough, and took the time to actually listen rather than rushing the appointment. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the clinic itself was clean and well organised. I felt genuinely cared for and would definitely recommend this clinic.
I’ve been to a few clinics recently for the same health issue and kept leaving with more questions than answers. I was also hesitant to come here because of some of the reviews, but I’m so glad I did. None of the negatives reflected my experience at all. The GP was patient, thorough, and actually listened, which felt like a huge contrast to other places I’ve been. I left feeling calmer and more confident about what was going on. This clinic is honestly a step above the others I’ve tried.
Dr Hiak is a committed and experienced clinician. He has taken good care of me and my family. Thank you!
Went to this clinic cos it was the only clinic (out of 5 clinics in the vicinity) that had a female doctor (Dr Sabrina Lim). The doctor was unfortunately very transactional and business-like, and wasn't reassuring at all. Was quite taken aback after the whole experience. Waiting time is fine, typical of most heartland clinics. Called about 10am to get a number, reached about 11am, and waited for another 30min. Sadly, I think I was inside the consult room for only about all of 3 minutes? Wasn't just me - the doctor saw patients very rapidly, about 8 patients in 30 minutes. She did prescribe medicine, but didn't assauge my worries or make me feel as if my medical concern was properly addressed. The whole thing felt very rushed. Waited another 30min to pay and collect my meds. Won't recommend. I'll definitely go elsewhere next time. Only plus point was that the nurse that took height, weight, blood pressure etc was very nice! The reception nurses are nice too.

GP consultation fees at private and CHAS-participating clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit, with follow-up consultations at the lower end. Investigations billed on top include blood panels (S$60–200), urine tests, and X-rays (S$80–150). Prescriptions are charged separately. GST applies on private medical services. Patients holding a CHAS card (Community Health Assist Scheme — Blue, Orange, or Chas card) may be eligible for subsidised GP and dental consultations at participating clinics. Confirm whether Telok Blangah Clinic is CHAS-accredited and your card tier before attending. For any planned investigation, ask for a written cost breakdown so you can see what MediSave, MediShield Life, or your Integrated Shield Plan will offset versus what you pay out-of-pocket. No MOH Healthcare Services Licence or SMC doctor registration is currently listed on this profile, which is a material gap — both are mandatory for any legitimate clinic operating under the Healthcare Services Act. Every legitimate clinic must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence (verifiable on the MOH licensee directory), and every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialty accreditation, and any disciplinary history. Before attending, search the named doctor's name on the SMC register and cross-check the clinic premises licence on the MOH directory. If either cannot be confirmed, seek an alternative provider. The absence of listed licences on this profile does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean you should verify independently before booking. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
MediSave can be used for outpatient treatments at CHAS-participating or MediSave-approved GP clinics under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient use, S$700 per year for the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, selected mental health conditions, and others. Confirm with the clinic whether it is registered for MediSave outpatient claims before your visit, as not all GP clinics are approved. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than GP consultations, though some plans include an outpatient rider — check your policy documents or contact your insurer directly. For any referral to a specialist or planned procedure arising from a GP visit, request a written financial counselling estimate from the receiving clinic that splits the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions clearly. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
