It is worth clarifying the age groups and skill levels catered for, the term or session commitment expected, and whether any trial session is available before signing up for a longer programme. Confirming the specific locations where classes are held — given the islandwide coverage — is also advisable before committing.

The worst badminton coachbwho lies and cheats people. Will be Complaining to sports authority too. Just like other reviewers below avoid this guy oppo or oppu atvall cost. he is highly unprofessional nor have any ethics fit to be a coach. Multiple times, they've cancelled classes at the last minute without any valid reason or prior notice. But you still need to complete all classes in set period. Like complete 8 classes in 2 months when they schedule only 4 classes in those 2 months. Rest what you paid is forfeited. He has a website from 1900's that's never updated properly on time not he bothers to update the schedule correctly. I will report him to CASE also as it's financial matters now. His poor communication skills alsobreflect in his coaching skills which is inadequate and no progress. AVOID THIS GUY AT ALL COSTS!
Hope no one else got cheated anymore. All the online information directs to one person, Opu. And he is not literally the coach, at least for us. We registered for the group class package around Queenstown area. But every time the time of class and location changed. I will have to ask him every week. Very frustrating. Then for the third week of February, he said the class on Thursday is canceled, we can move to Sunday but didn’t inform us this time will be a new coach( yes, the coach also varies during our three classes). Then my kid arrived there on time without knowing it should be a new coach this time, just waiting for her coach. There were three coaches there teaching and no one checked on my kid and no one checked whether all the kids are there. That’s so horrible. MY KID WAS WAITING THERE FOR 1.5HRS FOR NOTHING. That’s too much mess with this guy Opu, unreliable. I checked again and again whether it’s phishing but the company website also the phone number on google all direct to the same number. I will take this case to the police, if necessary, to the court. And I think most of the reviews are fake here too. Be Careful, parents.
Over the past two years, my son has shown tremendous improvement in his badminton foundation, thanks to Skyline Badminton Academy team’s excellent coaching and structured training. The coaches are highly skilled, dedicated, and pay great attention to individual growth. The focus on techniques, discipline, and fitness has not only enhanced his game but also boosted his confidence. We highly recommend Skyline Badminton Academy to anyone looking for quality badminton training!
Under Coach Opu 2 months of training and all, my son is able to get into 2nd round DSA interview. My son and I were so elated upon receiving the email. Thank you coach Opu!
My son has been with Skyline for about 9 months and enjoys his lessons. Coach Opu is engaging and patient, yet firm with his students. I am pleased to see the progress my child has made, from his footwork to the execution of his strokes.

Pricing details for THE Badminton Academy are not publicly listed at this time. Sports coaching in Singapore is typically priced on a per-session, monthly package, or per-term basis. Group classes generally cost less per session than one-to-one coaching, and some providers charge a separate registration or materials fee at the point of enrolment. It is worth asking whether a trial session is available and at what cost, and whether sibling discounts or multi-session packages apply. Confirm all fees in writing before committing to a term. Whether THE Badminton Academy offers a trial class is not confirmed in the current listing. Many sports coaching providers in Singapore do offer a single introductory session — sometimes at a reduced rate — so it is worth asking directly before paying for a full term or package. A trial session gives you a chance to assess whether the coaching style suits your child's temperament and current skill level, whether the group size allows for enough individual attention, and whether the session format and pace feel appropriate. These are things that are difficult to judge from a brochure alone. Contact the academy via WhatsApp or the enquiry form to ask about trial availability and what the session involves.
Coaching credentials are not detailed in the current listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask whether coaches hold any formal badminton coaching qualifications — for example, certifications from the Singapore Badminton Association or the Badminton World Federation coaching programme — and how many years of coaching or competitive experience they have. For younger children in particular, it is also worth asking about the coach-to-student ratio during sessions, as this affects how much individual feedback each child receives. If credential information is not readily available, ask THE Badminton Academy directly before booking a term commitment.
