This is our second time with TCW, simply because we had a fuss-free experience and well designed apartment by John and Singer. The second time was even better, where we left the works entirely in their hands, down to arranging soft furnishings as well furniture purchases. All we needed to do was to visit the house every weekend to admire the progress. Thank you John and Singer once again for a high quality and worry-free Reno experience!

There are many IDs to choose from in Singapore but as we Googled we realised none really stood out until we chanced upon The Carpenter’s Workshop portfolio of their past projects. The results they had achieved were stunning. Could they work the same magic for our home? After just our first meeting, we were very convinced we had found the ID we were looking for and John and Ewarth have not disappointed us. In fact, we have been totally blown away by the results they have produced. We have much to say about their qualities but here are the main ones they brought to the table: 1. Anticipation of issues: They were usually ahead of the curve because of their experience and knowledge. They are seasoned campaigners. This was crucial in navigating through the well-known obstacles and challenges of any and every renovation project. 2. Tampering our expectations: They were very frank about what was achievable and what was not. Flights of fancy were quickly extinguished. 3. Managing costs: John helped me budget for the project. We only splurged when it would amplify and enhance the overall design plan. For example, very high quality fittings were used for high-wear areas. 4. Punctuality: there were seldom any delays. John and Ewarth are highly skilled in motivating their craftsmen to get things done on time. 5. Communication: we were kept in the loop all the way. Updates were normally via messaging. Important issues would be done face-to-face or via phone calls. Site meetings would be done where necessary. 6. Responsibility, sincerity, honesty, professionalism, knowledge, training and experience-these qualities just shone through as the project progressed and we got to know them better. 7. Staying true to our idea of a dream home and keeping the promises they made: Needless to say, the results of our home renovation are exactly as we dreamed. All the mock-up renditions done by the very artistic Ewarth were fleshed out eventually and we were stunned to see they were almost identical to the final results! 8. Right from the start, John reassured us they will remain in touch with us even after the project is completed and that they have many past projects for which they are still in close contact with the owners. We are sure they will do so with our project too. They have proven to us that they take their work very seriously and they take ownership of every one of their projects. This is very reassuring to us. We are very grateful to them for working their magic on our home and we look back fondly at our renovation journey with them. We also look forward to remaining in touch with them and wish them all the very best for their future projects.

I'm in the midst of discussing with Carpenter's Workshop and have not yet contracted with them, but having made comparisons with other IDs, Carpenter's Workshop has already won me over with their sincerity, attention to customer needs, knowledge, "on-the-ball-ness" and professionalism. As a non designer I must admit that my dreams for my new place can be a little far fetched but kudos to Victor and Nicki, they never once made me feel like I gave them some incredulous request. I can sense them earnestly and gently guiding me back to something that is both doable and meets my purpose. I've read online feedback about the sincerity of Carpenter's Workshop and now I have really seen it. It is miles ahead of some of those other so called brand-name designers who were featured in articles; some of whom can go "missing" without follow-up after the first 2 meetings. And I certainly don't need that from someone who's offering to take my project. So, while I've not yet decided on Carpenter's Workshop, I'm sold on their business character, their earnestness, their design- it's hard turning down such a partner when it comes to getting my place done.
