About The Children Medical Centre Bishan

About The Children Medical Centre Bishan

The Children Medical Centre Bishan is a paediatric clinic located at 116 Bishan Street 12, serving families across Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified, though no ACRA registration or regulatory licence details are currently on record, which limits the confidence of this listing. The clinic holds a 4.1/5 rating across 98 Google reviews, a moderately robust sample that suggests generally positive patient experience.

Families typically begin with a first consultation for acute concerns — fever, respiratory infections, rashes, ear pain, or developmental queries — or for the National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) schedule, which covers vaccinations from birth through to adolescence. At a paediatric setting, the consulting doctor will take a history, examine the child, and advise on a management plan that may include in-clinic diagnostics, a prescription, and a follow-up review. For developmental milestone concerns or complex conditions, a referral to a paediatric subspecialist at a public hospital or private specialist centre may be issued. Families using Integrated Shield Plans should confirm whether the clinic supports direct billing, and those with chronic conditions should ask about the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for MediSave 500/700 outpatient withdrawal eligibility.

To book, contact The Children Medical Centre Bishan by phone or through the enquiry form on the listing, and confirm current consultation hours, walk-in availability, and whether an appointment is required before attending with an unwell child.

Dr Oh is spot on with her diagnoses, and always gives us great peace of mind with what next steps and treatment options to take for our kids. She has been our go-to doctor since day 1, and has consistently been reassuring, patient, and encouraging. Her assistants are also friendly and helpful, especially her long-standing assistant, Angeline. We are truly grateful for the care and support Dr Oh and her team have given our family over the years. We highly, highly recommend Dr Oh! 🙂

We’ve been bringing our kids here and have always had a very positive experience. Dr Oh is very good, friendly, and patient. She explains things clearly and gives practical suggestions that are especially helpful for mums managing more than one child. I never feel rushed during the consultation, and she takes the time to address concerns properly. The nurses are also very helpful and warm. Even when the clinic is busy, they remain calm and make sure we understand the medication instructions clearly. I really appreciate that they write down the dosage separately for each child, which makes it much easier for parents to follow at home and reduces the chance of confusion. The overall atmosphere of the clinic is comfortable and reassuring. It can get crowded at times, so it’s best to register early. Overall, it gives parents peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands. Highly recommended!

Thank you Dr Oh from Kid Clinic Bishan for her detailed explanations and patient guidance. As new parents, we really appreciated the time she took to share clearly and reassure us on how to care for our newborn. Also a big thank you to the nurses who were very friendly, proactive, and helpful throughout our visit. Truly a comforting experience for first-time parents. Edited: nurses not nurse. All are friendly and helpful.

Dr. Oh is an extremely attentive and caring doctor. She has been taking care of my two daughters since birth. She is truly our savior “神医”and the only doctor we completely trust. The nursing team is also very friendly. We are sincerely grateful for the excellent medical services and support they have provided. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Dr Oh at Kids Clinic Bishan for the last 3+ years since having our boy. As first time parents, anxiety sometimes creep in. Fortunately Dr Oh guided us through those moments and in the process grew us into more confident parents and care-givers. Overall, Dr Oh displays expertise, empathy and explains clearly. Also great that she is friendly and we can speak casually with light-hearted humour especially during anxious moments. To add, Ms Angeline from the clinic has also been very helpful and guided us through some A&E/ specialist-related administration during our most recent visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does The Children Medical Centre Bishan charge?

Paediatric GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$40–80 per visit, with specialist-level paediatric consultations ranging S$120–250 for a first appointment and S$80–180 for follow-ups. Common add-ons include National Childhood Immunisation Programme (NIP) vaccinations (S$30–80 per dose depending on the vaccine), blood panels (S$60–200), swab tests, and prescribed medications. GST applies on private medical services. For planned or recurrent consultations, ask the clinic for a written fee estimate that separates the consultation charge, any investigations, and dispensed medication. MediSave 500/700 outpatient withdrawal may apply for CDMP-listed chronic conditions. See the full GP and paediatric clinic cost guide for Singapore →

Is The Children Medical Centre Bishan MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory. Every practising doctor must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) — search by name at smc.gov.sg to confirm registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licence details are currently recorded for this listing, so families are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration directly before booking. For paediatric specialist accreditation, look for fellowship with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH or FRCPCH) or Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS in Paediatric Medicine) as additional credentials beyond basic SMC registration. Confirm both the clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC entry — neither alone is sufficient.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at The Children Medical Centre Bishan?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life cover most private specialist consultations, day procedures, and inpatient stays subject to deductible, co-insurance, and rider rules. Confirm with your insurer whether the clinic supports direct billing or requires you to pay upfront and claim later. For outpatient visits, MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits apply — S$500 per year for general outpatient, or S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions including asthma, childhood diabetes, and selected chronic conditions. For any planned procedure, request a financial counselling session at the clinic so that the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions are set out in writing before treatment. Skipping this step is the most common reason families are surprised by the final bill. As no licence details are currently on record for this clinic, also confirm CDMP accreditation directly with the clinic before assuming MediSave withdrawal eligibility.
