About The Clinic Group
The Clinic Group is a general practice and 24-hour clinic service operating in Singapore, with a location at 70 Stamford Road, #B1-21 Li Ka Shing Library. The practice holds a 4.4/5 rating across 343 Google reviews, which represents a robust sample and provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level on a per-visit basis, consistent with private GP consultation norms of approximately S$25–60 for a standard visit, though patients should confirm current fees directly.
Patients typically attend The Clinic Group for acute illness, injury review, repeat prescriptions, preventive care, and health screening. For straightforward GP visits, no referral is required — walk in or call ahead to confirm current wait times. Where a specialist referral is needed, the GP can issue a referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic, which reduces cost for Singapore Citizens, or direct you to a private specialist of your choosing. Investigations such as blood panels and swabs are commonly ordered at the consultation and may be billed separately. Patients managing chronic conditions should ask whether the clinic participates in the Chronic Disease Management Programme, which allows MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia.
To make an appointment or check waiting times, contact The Clinic Group by phone or through the enquiry form listed on this page.
Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
I want to share how wonderful the nursing team and Dr. Mervin are at this clinic. I’ve always been afraid of blood tests, but my experience here was completely different. The nurse who took my blood was incredibly caring, gentle, and friendly. She made me feel comfortable from start to finish, and even checked on me afterward to make sure I was okay. Dr. Mervin is equally excellent—professional, attentive, and truly dedicated to his patients. Outstanding care from the entire team. Highly recommend!
This feedback is for the reception, not the doctor. I arrived around 5:25pm with an urgent case of diarrhea and asked if it was still possible to see a doctor or get some medication. The cashier was still open, and other patients were settling their bills with no one else in line. However, the receptionist (a lady with a ponytail and glasses) replied rather curtly that registration was already closed, even after I explained it was an emergency. I understand clinic policies, but a little empathy and flexibility would have been appreciated in that situation. Update: Thank you for your response. From what I saw online, the clinic closes at 5:30pm - there’s no mention that registration ends at 5:15. My review reflects my experience and is meant to highlight that the registration hours were unclear, especially for urgent cases. I would appreciate it if my feedback is taken constructively and kindly ask not to threaten me to take down my review. I hope this helps make the information clearer for future patients.
Hurt my shoulder & walked into the Clinic Group; was seen too by an amazing Doctor and left with an appropriate solution in less than an hour. Speedy, polite and well valued. I would come back here again, nothing negative to say.
After entering the clinic, I was quickly seen by a doctor. The doctor in the second consultation room was very friendly and professional. However, the receptionist's attitude infuriated me. First, she couldn't clearly explain what documents she needed, her pronunciation was strange, and she kept rushing me without explaining how to find the necessary information. But she explain it to foreigners. I mean people from western countries. After I finished everything, she complained to the colleague next to me, "This patient really took me a long time." She also treated me differently, forcing later patients to see the doctor earlier.
This post is long overdue. I am grateful to Dr Lim for his excellent medical care for me over the last 15-20 years. He is knowledgeable, caring, efficient and has an amazing memory of his patients’ history. Runs a busy practice but never flustered and always gives the best attention to his patients and puts them at ease with his warm personality.

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with after-hours or 24-hour surcharges of S$10–30 on top. Common add-ons billed separately include blood panels (S$60–200), swabs and rapid tests (S$15–50), X-rays (S$80–150), and prescribed medications. GST applies on private medical services. For any planned procedure or referral, request a written breakdown that separates the consultation fee, investigations, and any procedure costs. Contact The Clinic Group directly to confirm current consultation fees and whether after-hours rates apply to your visit. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →
Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must appear on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. The Clinic Group does not currently list its MOH licence or the names of its registered doctors on this KakiList entry. Before your visit, search the clinic name on the MOH licensee directory and confirm your consulting doctor's name on the SMC register. Both checks take under two minutes and are the standard due-diligence steps for any private medical visit. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the S$500 annual withdrawal limit for general outpatient treatment, or up to S$700 under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) if you are managing a listed chronic condition such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, or stroke. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a CDMP-accredited provider before assuming MediSave applies. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover routine outpatient GP consultations unless your plan includes an outpatient rider — check your policy documents. If a referral for specialist care or a day procedure follows from this visit, engage your insurer early and request pre-authorisation and a Letter of Guarantee before any planned procedure to avoid disputes after the fact. For any planned procedure, ask the clinic for a written financial counselling estimate that splits insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
