About The Family Practice Dawson
The Family Practice Dawson is a general practice clinic located at 85 Dawson Road in the Dawson estate. KakiList has verified the operating details and contact channel. The clinic holds a 3.5/5 rating across 42 Google reviews — a moderate sample size that provides a reasonable directional signal, though individual experiences vary. No regulatory licences have been supplied to KakiList for this listing, so prospective patients are advised to confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.
As a GP clinic, The Family Practice Dawson is likely the starting point for everyday health concerns — acute illness, chronic disease follow-up, vaccinations, and referrals to specialist care when needed. Patients with MediSave-eligible chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, or hyperlipidaemia may be able to use the Chronic Disease Management Programme to offset outpatient costs up to S$700 per year. For conditions requiring a specialist, the GP can provide a referral letter, which unlocks the subsidised Specialist Outpatient Clinic pathway at public hospitals. Walk-in consultations are typical at GP clinics, though calling ahead during peak hours is advisable.

Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Exceptional great family physicians, Dr Linda & Dr Lui & supporting friendly front line staff in this clinic. It really makes all the difference when the entire team is excellent. It is a huge relief, especially after just moving to a new area.
charges too costly at $49.10 for PDVL Medical Examination without x-ray. One of the Counter Staff was rather impolite too. Goto Mediway Medical Centre charged $30 only.
Queue cut 4 times and keep getting cut on repeat visits but doc and receptionist were friendly. Waited for 1hr to see the doc. Need book appt to avoid waiting.
Brought my helper here as she is not feeling well and our usual clinic is not open on Sundays.. came early when there were only 2 patients in front of us and were given an estimated waiting time of 30 minutes. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes before we finally saw the doc and my helper told me four patients went in before her, 2 of which came later than us. I checked with the doctor and they only accept injection appointments so I honestly can't shake off the suspicion that she got her q cut for other reason..which i do not think I need to state the obvious. To be fair though, the doctor was professional and polite, but this time management and suspicious queue cutting is a deal breaker. Will not come back here again for sure. Lastly, medication they provide seems to be limited as well as they do not have cough medicine that is non drowsy.
We dropped by and have our appointment with Dr. Linda. She is very kind and very thoughtful. She also explain everything in a way that we can understand and also she kindly listened to our questions Thank you Dr Linda

GP consultation fees at private general practice clinics in Singapore typically range from S$25 to S$60 per visit, with fees varying by time of day, complexity of the consultation, and whether the clinic participates in Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) or MediShield Life-related programmes. Investigations such as blood panels (S$60–200), X-rays (S$80–150), or urine tests are billed on top of the consultation fee, as are prescription medications and any procedures performed during the visit. GST applies to private medical services. For planned investigations or follow-up procedures, request an itemised estimate from the clinic upfront. Any procedure you intend to claim against an Integrated Shield Plan should be pre-authorised with your insurer before the appointment to avoid claim disputes. No regulatory licences have been submitted to KakiList for this listing. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status and any disciplinary history by searching the doctor's name. Prospective patients are strongly advised to confirm both the clinic's MOH licence and the consulting doctor's SMC entry before booking. Neither the licence nor the SMC entry alone is sufficient — both should be in order for a regulated general practice. If the clinic participates in CHAS or Screen for Life, those scheme listings are an additional indirect indicator that MOH and Ministry of Health Holdings have vetted the practice.
For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — up to S$500 per year for general outpatient use, or S$700 per year if the consultation falls under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, COPD, and selected mental health conditions. CHAS cardholders (blue, orange, or green) may also be entitled to subsidised consultation fees if the clinic is a CHAS GP — confirm this directly with the clinic. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than routine GP visits, though some riders provide GP outpatient benefits — check your policy schedule. For any planned procedure or referral leading to specialist care, request a financial counselling session and a written estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
