About "The Learning Lab"
The Learning Lab is a private tuition provider operating islandwide across Singapore, with a centre at United Square on Thomson Road. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. It holds a Google rating of 3.9 out of 5 from 195 reviews — a robust sample that offers a reasonable signal of overall service experience. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) level, though specific per-session or monthly fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
When enquiring, it is worth clarifying which academic level and syllabus the programme covers — whether that is the MOE mainstream curriculum, PSLE preparation, O-Level, A-Level, IP, IGCSE, or IB — and whether tuition is conducted in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. Ask about trial class availability so you can assess the teaching approach and gauge whether the pace and style suit your child before committing to a term. Also confirm whether sessions are held at the United Square centre or if other locations or online options are available, and what the term commitment and make-up class policy look like.
To take the next step, contact The Learning Lab by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to ask about current availability for your child's level, request details on class formats and fees, and arrange a trial class before signing up for a full term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We are so grateful to have had Ms Shaan as our child’s teacher at TLL. She has been incredibly dedicated, patient, and caring throughout the past three years. My son absolutely loves her classes and we can clearly see how much he has grown both academically and in confidence under her guidance. The teachers at TLL are professional, encouraging and committed to helping children learn with joy and confidence. We have always received clear communication and timely updates, which makes the learning experience very supportive for both students and parents. Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience at TLL, and we’ve seen significant progress in our child’s learning journey. Thank you to the wonderful team for creating such a nurturing and effective environment for the children.
My gal moved to Novena site after passing gep. They offer high quality and very structured English program. Not the usual classroom tuition class, it’s like a conference, brainstorming environment. Staff are kind and accommodating. Down side is there’s no school breaks but my gal still love attending her lessons always. Expensive but worth every penny
We sent my brother to this tuition centre program knowing it was one of the best, but unfortunately it was too fast for my brother in retrospect. At the age of 11-12, he was not able to communicate this well to us, just kept attending and having his confidence impacted. I would not recommend sending any struggling child to The Learning Lab, this program is more for students who want to improve from good to excellent. I would have preferred the teacher/tuition centre being honest with us to tell us that my brother was not keeping up and should go to an alternate program instead elsewhere, instead of continuing to accept him (and our thousands of dollars in fees each quarter), but not being able to help him at all at his level. It was unfortunately a waste of time, energy and money over 2 years, not to mention the discouragement caused to a child for being made to feel that the problem is him for being significantly behind his peers. This centre is run on private equity ownership and profit is important, but as a business in education it should have a duty to protect the children it claims to help.
During the recent public holiday, we needed to reschedule the children’s program. May I kindly suggest that, during future planning, public holidays be taken into consideration so they will not affect the regular program schedule? For example, if a session falls on a public holiday, it could be shifted to the following week without disrupting other programs. Your kind consideration in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Mr Welson Lee taught my daughter science from Primary 4 to primary 6. He has high efficiency, is very patient and is very kind. Whenever science questions that my daughter does not know how to solve are sent to him online, he always replies in time. With Mr Lee's help, my daughter's science has improved a lot, getting AL1 for science in PSLE.

The Learning Lab displays a mid-range ($$) price indicator, but specific per-session, monthly, or term fees are not publicly listed. Tuition centres in Singapore typically charge on a per-session, monthly, or per-term basis, and rates can vary depending on the academic level, subject, group size, and whether sessions are one-to-one or small-group. Ask whether a trial class incurs a fee, whether materials or workbooks are charged separately, and whether sibling discounts or package deals are available. Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class — either complimentary or at a nominal fee — before you commit to a full term or monthly package. A trial class gives you a chance to assess whether the teaching style suits your child, whether the pace and level are appropriate, and whether the classroom environment is a good fit. When attending a trial, observe how the tutor engages with students, whether questions are encouraged, and how feedback is given. Ask The Learning Lab directly whether a trial is available for your child's subject and level, and what the trial class terms are before attending.
Credential information for The Learning Lab's tutors is not available in the current listing. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether tutors hold NIE training or prior MOE teaching experience, their degree qualifications in the relevant subject, and how many years they have been teaching the specific syllabus your child is studying — whether that is MOE mainstream, PSLE, O-Level, A-Level, IP, or an international curriculum such as IGCSE or IB. If syllabus alignment is important to you — for example, adherence to the latest MOE specification or a particular school's internal assessment style — raise this directly with the centre before committing to a term.
